Isola D’oro Lido

Worst dinner in Italy. Bad service. Poor food. Ice cream is from super market. Fruit salad is canned. Sea food is unfresh. Steak is really salty.

Owner was rude. Stood around for at least 5 minutes, maybe 10, being ignored when I only wanted to find out if they could seat 3 people. Eventually owner said yes and took us to a table in the back. As he was starting to clean it, a table opened up in the front and I asked if we could take it. He practically yelled at me for ‘changing my mind’. Unbelievable!
Ordered a kid burger, shrimp and calamari appetizer, gnocchi, and a pizza with anchovies. Kid burger came without a bun, and the waiter informed us provincials (in that tone) that of course the mini burger comes without a bun! Did bring out a bun eventually and the burger was good. Gnocchi and appetizer very good. Pizza was so-​so, with very few anchovies pieces — it was mostly a cheese pizza. I almost think the owner did it on purpose just to piss me off, though can’t be sure.
Owner processed credit card payment without a word. Added 12% service charge in addition to (small) cover charge.
Maybe he was having a bad night … Should’ve left from the beginning but my son was tired and hungry.
