Yes we got done too. Didn’t check reviews, was just wandering the streets and checking the menu when the waitress pulled us in. Look casual and cheap and just what we wanted but 80 Euro for 2 pastas and a bottle of wine(we asked for 2 glasses of house). Over priced and the waitress was surly and disinterested if you didn’t want to order at least 2 courses. Won’t be back and will tell her what I think if I see her in the next few days. Wrong location. It’s actually near Rialto Bridge rather than San Marco.

If you are a tourist in Venice, avoid this place at all costs. 181 trip advisor reviews all will say the same as well. Yes there’s a 2 € person but that wasn’t the problem. They added a clear 15% service fee and then the waitress tried to pull a fast one and told us three times service charge isn’t included. On top of that, when she took our drink order we asked for one glass of red and one of white. We got a full bottle of each instead. We assumed this was the house wine bottle(our mistake) but ended up being charged an additional 60 euros just on wine. When it came to ordering starters, we asked for fries and after taking our order she came back and in Italian only started saying a bunch of options and brought them all out(2 more starters at 10 euro each). What was supposed to be a simple 30 euro meal ended up costing us nearly 150 euros. Total rip off! I was also grossed out by how the waitress hounded passer Byers to come into the restaurant. This was like a nightmare«getting scammed for being a tourist» experience.

Food is ok, but very crooked on the bill. They added a cover charge, plus a 15% service charge, plus the waitress had the gall to tell us that the tip was not included! When I challenged her on this she claimed that the service charge was a city tax! Incredibly dishonest people. Don’t come here!

Shame about the other reviews, if you can get past the cover charge and service fee, the food here is pretty decent. We had the calamari and one of their meat pizza. Both were very tasty and so far best pizza I’ve had in Venice. The crust was thin and crispy and cheese just melted in your mouth. Server was very friendly and managed to juggle getting people into the restaurant as well as serve everyone inside.

Dont ever go. 15% service charge and 2euro cover charge per person. First time in Italy after so many days. Waitress is forever luring people in.

Les plats sont corrects mais il faut ajouter les couverts et 15% de service. En plus on vous force un peu à la consommation… On trouve facilement aussi bien pour moins cher.

Normal food. The waitress is looking for customers all the time at the front door and you need to pay 2 € pp(extra cover) They say is the same way in all the restaurants in Venice. This was my 1st one so Im not sure how this work yet.

Three of us shared a meal here. We shared the squid ink pasta, cuttlefish, and calamari. Don’t be afraid to try the squid ink pasta. It’s a specialty in Venice. It was a tiny bit on the salty side, but otherwise, I thought it tasted good. The cuttlefish dish looked and tasted like it was covered in the same squid ink sauce and came with polenta. The food and service were great! You should note that we were charged a two euro cover charge per person, plus a 15% service charge.
