Beautiful restaurant on the Grand Canal. Romantic lighting in booths. Wonderful meal and service. Could have been a little healthier. This was our first stop in Venice so it holds much meaning for us.

Beautiful first lunch in Venice, right on the canal. This place was open during the post-lunch lull in Venice, and we stopped by for Pizze. I had the Diavola Pizza… which was amazing. Pizza is served whole, 12inches, per customer… so be prepared to use a knife and fork to slice it up. It’s not quite thick crust or thin. Be adventurous and try something new!

Located on the Grand Canal, Mirabar is a great location for enjoying a romantic dinner. A few steps away is the Bus terminal and train terminal to the mainland of Italy. There is only outside seating at this restaurant so if it looks full, then it is probably full. There is also only one waiter so service was a bit slow, but you can use that time to take in Venice and its surroundings. The pizza oven is located behind the front window so you can watch them make the pizza. I ordered the Vienne pizza(tomato, mozzarella, and frankfurt) and it fills up the entire plate. Not as heavy as American pizza, I definitely prefer the original Italian pizza for its taste and softer, thinner crust. There is a 12% service charge and 1 liter water costs 3.50 euros. The pizza was 9 euros, which seems quite standard around Venice since it is a tourist trap and everything is just overly expensive.
