I was at Myle twice during my stay in Taormina, and it was wonderful both times. We always ended up going in a huge group, which I know was incredibly obnoxious for them… however, the employees were so great in accommodating us each time! Both nights, the restaurant itself and the nearby streets were fairly empty, so we sat outside and felt like we had the entire place to ourselves. Our meals started with a complimentary glass of Prosecco — always appreciated!(Note: I don’t know if they do this for everyone. Our hotel manager had a personal connection there and had called ahead for us!) The minestrone soup is one of the best I’ve had, and the tortelloni con crema e spinaci is excellent. Friends ordered a huge calzone, tagliatelle e porcini, lasagna, various pasta dishes(I wish I could remember them!) and a few of the pizzas. All of it was delicious! Only drawback about Myle is how their staff behaved — a group of 4+ employees stood outside just staring at us for 30+ minutes, and one time they were actually taking a video of us on their iphone. I understand that perhaps large groups of Americans may not frequent their restaurant, but it still made it a little uncomfortable for us while eating.

We visited this restaurant when we stayed in Taormina. It was a high spot(of which there were many) of our holiday in Sicily. The restaurant itself is intimate and charmingly uncluttered. The musical taste of the proprietor is very eclectic and includes blues and jazz, played over a very competent sound system. The proprietors are very friendly and speak excellent English. As for the food, this was superb. We chose fish as the main course, accompanied by some very fine Sicilian wines. No one in our party of 6 was disappointed with their meal. It was one of the best I have had and I thoroughly recommend the place. The price for a three course meal with wine(fish as the main course), was approx Eur 35 per person.
