We ate here 3 times on our trip to Sicily and the good was excellent each time. Tried a variety of the pasta dishes. All yummy! The terrace is gorgeous with an amazing view. The local house wine (red) was really good and great value too.

La Cisterna del Moro has a lovely terrace facing the ocean where you can enjoy a nice lunch on a hot day. The staff was friendly and many of them spoke English. The restaurant feels genuine and the food was good. We had two salads that were light and perfect for lunch. The menu was without suprises, containing mostly salads, pizza and pasta but everything looked tasty. I can also recommend sitting here with a glass of wine, watching the ocean with a group of friends and just enjoying Taormina.

Nous sommes tombés par hasard sur ce restaurant et ce fut une belle surprise. La terrasse est à couper le soufflé. Vu sur l’Etna et la baie de Taormina. Des palmiers et des bananiers dans le jardin en contrebas font penser aux Antilles. L’accueil est chaleureux. Le patron parle français. Nous avons goutés les classiques paninis, la bruscetta et des salades. Les ingrédients étaient de bonne qualité. Je pense que le restaurant est à conseiller et que les classiques des la cuisine italienne ou sicilienne y seront un délice.

Wie der Name schon sagt, befindet sich das Lokal in einer von den Arabern im Mittelalter errichteten Zisterne. Es besitzt allerdings eine Terrasse mit einem freien herrlichen Blick auf die Bucht von Taormina. Diese erreicht man vom Haupteingang am Corso Umberto über schmale Gänge und Stufen.
Für den malerischen Blick bezahlt man natürlich ein wenig mehr, unter anderem ca. 4 EUR für das Coperto. Ansonsten ist die Cisterna ein ganz gewöhnliches Lokal in Taormina. Es hat wenige Überraschungen, eine solide Küche und freundliches Personal. Es ist ein Lokal für Touristen, bei dem man nicht viel Falsches machen kann.
