We were recommended this place by our hotel — so glad we tried it! Excellent place, so cosy, friendly and patient service(the owner speaks good English and is able to describe the dishes), and there is a good variety of Tuscan dishes to try. We just left it in his hands and we did the right thing! For starters, a one-portion Tuscan 6-way sampler which had tapas style veggies and meat tasters(everything was yummy and the dish offers such a different taste for each sampler), and seconds we had the Bistec alla Fiorentina — about 3 pounds but it was totally doable between us both so don’t be intimidated! The meat is succulent, so tender and done to your likes on the hot plate. We couldnt eat dessert after that, though! Totally recommended for those who want something typical and to remember from your Tuscan trip!

Simply fantastic! A wonderful host in an intimate setting. The owner gives wonderful recommendations. We started with the antipasto sampler that was terrific. Bread with olive oil and their own Chianti Classico was superb. Our pasta dishes of asparagus ravioli and pasta with duck were delicious. Finished off with Crème Brûlée and a pear cake and gelato, our meal was perfect. The bill was only 68 Euro. Best deal in Italy!

Great convivial dining, where the kindness rhymes with sweetness. Try. A little ‘as dear price, attention to the choice of the menu.

When people ask us where the best restaurant in Florence is, we tell them it’s in San Casciano Val di Pesa, about 15 km south of Florence in Chianti! Owners Marco and Silvia have achieved the magic combination of refined yet comforting dishes served with warmth and friendliness in a cozy, charming, welcoming atmosphere. Their kitchen’s strength is in the absolute prime quality of the ingredients, the wine list reflects the best that the wine-producing region of Chianti has to offer without breaking the bank or being snooty. For dessert — the apple crumble is as comforting as it gets! Be sure to call for reservations — the place is small, very popular with us locals and fills up quickly!

BRAVO !
