For standard Roman fare — pastas carbonara, Pepe, and alamatriciana( which they serve as a trio, as I wish other places did) and lamb — this is rustic greatness. Skip the house wine and perhaps the rest of the menu.

Had dinner her with family, looked like nice local place which it was. Reasonable pricing. Some dishes where very good and some were marginal. Marginal — Spaghetti and Meat Balls, Carbonara, and my wife had veal scallopini. All where a bit too heavy and salty. Other daughters had grilled snapper and pumpkin ravioli which where very good. I was surprised at how good compared to other dishes. I had a good wine and we all where full when we left. Also, the brought out some type of appetizer on the house, I had one bite and that was good enough. Staff was super nice

Great neighbourhood eatery in Prati neighborhood. Just 1 block from our b&b so we gave it a try. Excellent, friendly service, with a smile. Very helpful in making suggestions and recommendations based on types of foods and wines we like. Her suggestions were great. My husband had the classic spaghetti and meatballs and since I couldn’t decide on just 1 pasta, she suggested the trio for me perfecto! All of it was delicious. We had 2 dinners, a bottle of house wine, 1 dessert a cola and 2 cappuccinos for 47euro. Seemed like a good price for all of the wonderful, freshly prepared food we got. She also brought us a small plate of biscotti for free to have with our coffee. Wonderful, enjoyable experience. Love the little neighborhood eateries for some of the best hidden treasures.

I have been studying abroad in Rome for 4 months and this place is still one of my favorites! I just wish they started accepting meal tickets for students! I would go soo much more!

If you ever find yourself near Piazza Cavour in the Prati region of Rome, be sure to pop in for a meal here. This restaurant provides a good variety of anything that you may be in the mood for and the service and ambiance is that of a typical old-school Italian restaurant. For food, we started with the freshest plate of salumi misti accompanied with the best ricotta and mozzarella that you could imagine that I would recommend. For our entrees, we did the Spigola that was very simple but prepared and de-boned tableside with some potatoes and vegetables. I also did a mix of 3 pastas(cacio e pepe, carbonara, and amatriciana) — all were al dente, packed excellent flavor and just the right size portion. Topping our meal off with an espresso, we could not have asked for more. Service was a bit slow(shock) but friendly, however we were in no rush. Prices were very reasonable and it is not located in a very touristy area of Rome which I enjoyed very much. Buon appetito.

This is a true authentic Italian food at it’s purest. Simple dishes but made with so much love. This place has been visited by every A-List Hollywood star and there pictures on the wall with the owner prove it. This is not a tourist spot, locals go here. I found it because my hotel was only 1 block from it. Everything from the food to the service is great. The owner was there both times we went and was always looking over all the tables and making sure the waiters were at the top of their game. I actually went and shook the owners hand to thank him for such memorable meals. This is a true gem.

Most excellent food with friendly staff. Prices are reasonable and had to go back twice as I enjoyed the food so much. I would recommend this place to anyone with an appetite.
