Most of the dishes we had were delicious except the pad thai. However they were all very small portions for the price. The drinks were a little h expensive too.

Uh, I was pretty sure I had already reviewed this place… I have been here a couple of times, always with international friends. I love Thai food, so a place not too far from home and located in a quiet and not too touristic area is always a good thing. The place is very small and well furnished. Staff nice and polite. Food pretty good even though not the best Thai I ever had. Prices a bit over the average for the category. Definitely recommended to book a table, especially on weekends, since seats are very limited.

This place is small, but large enough to hold a lot of people. Nice décor. Friendly, although a bit out of it, staff. For appetizers, the chicken skewers were good, the fried chicken+shrimp was a little weird. The main dish was good. I got spicy chicken with white rice and it definitely helped my sickness. For dessert, I wanted the fried bananas with coconut ice cream except they had the fried bananas with whipped cream. We’re in Italy, no coconut ice cream??? Pass. We shared a decent mango. Singha always hits the spot and the water, I was not too fond of because it was sparkling. For the price(25E each), I would have expected more.

I went here with my girlfriend for my birthday dinner. The food was good, not amazing. What bothered me were the tiny portions compared to other Thai restaurants I’ve eaten at. Of course, I’m from LA and maybe they just feed us fat Americans a little more over there. On a brighter note, the owners are a sweet and wonderfully diverse couple. The wife is the chef and she’s Thai and the husband was our server and I think he’s Italian but was raised in Australia. Anyway, if you’re craving Thai food and you don’t have a huge appetite this place will do just fine. If the portions we’re larger I would have given 4 stars. If the food was amazing too 5 stars.

Delicious and friendly! I have lived in Monte Verde each summer for the past few years while teaching at a local university, and I didn’t know about Sukhothai until recently(thanks, Unilocal!). We ate there tonight for the first time and everything we had was lovely(pad thai, prad pruk thai, spring rolls). The service was nice and the décor comfortable and welcoming. They even had excellent air conditioning, which was very welcome on this hot day. Highly recommended, especially as the options for ethnic food are limited in Monte Verde.
