Great local pizza & pasta spot within feet of our VRBO apartment. Stopped for a couple of pizzas during our holiday visit to Rome, and found the food and service to be great, fast & friendly. No choice between this and La Scaletta across the street, choose Pummarola and you won’t regret it!

I came here five years ago and loved it so I returned on my recent trip to Rome. Spoiler alert: still loved it. On my first trip to Rome I was very disappointed in all the food I was eating. I felt like the Olive Garden was better! Then I tried this place and ended up eating here for dinner 4 nights in a row. This visit I went back once and was not disappointed! My son had a panini (ham and cheese) that he said was he best he’s ever had. I had the pappardelle w meat sauce and it was fantastic. The staff is friendly and attentive. Prices are very fair. Highly recommended.

Excellent food. This was one of the best restaurants that we ate in Rome. Avoid the Pantheon Square with all the tourists. We had the Shrimp and Salmon Salad, Eggplant Parmigiana, Pasta Bolognese, and Artichoke and Eggplant Pizza. All at around 70 Euro. Ardit was the friendliest waiter we had in Rome. This was one of our best meals in Italy. We happened upon it as it was close to where we were staying and it was late. We had a great waiter. Prices are great, Papparadelle Bolognese and Pasta Carbonara were fabulous. Had the pizza recommended by the waiter with buffalo mozzarella, tomato and basil and loved the pizza and their thin chewy crust. Great portions, we couldn’t finish it. If I ever get to Rome again I would definitely eat here. Wine by the carafe was very good and reasonably priced.

Gnocchi with clams and pesto was perfect for my husband and me. Beef rags with vegetables, tender well marinated, very good which I was surprised about since they didn’t seem like they would be. This was a random choice while we were walking about and turned out to be great.
