My son was really hungry and basically we chose this place because he did not want to take one more step. I thought it would be too touristy. But I really enjoyed our dinner there. We had two different kind of fish dinners and both were tasty. My son had pizza and that was very good also. The staff was great! Very attentive and helpful. We had the house wine it was very good. I was told it came from the owners vineyard. We also enjoyed the desserts. Did not pick the typical tiramisu or panna cotta. Just fresh berries and great wild cherry tart. I rally can’t say anything negative, we were totally happy with everything. I have had enough bad meals in Italy but this definitely was NOT one of them.

Great ambiance & beautiful restaurant. But very expensive and not great selection! Food wasn’t that amazing! Staff were very snobbish & didn’t provide great service!

Wow. Amazing food and service. Great atmosphere. One of the best places I’ve been on 5 trips to Italy. The pasta was superb and the veal cheeks were perfectly prepared. They offer a artichoke appetizer and a salt cod appetizer that are a must have.

Being around the corner from the Pantheon, it might come across as one those tourist traps. That’s partially right with people trying to sell us their tourist crap through most of our meal. The caprese salad and salmon tartare were a bad start, this place was heading for a 1 or 2. The dinner was resurrected to a «low» 4 by four things: a quality bottle of Sangiovese with strong earthy notes, a hand made pasta with a Parmesan/pepper cream sauce that was flavorful but not overpowering, braised veal cheek, and a tiramisu that was served more like a mousse. Just made it to four stars in our book, and solid way to start our trip!

The owner and staff were very friendly, accommodating with our table, professional and prompt. We came to this restaurant on the recommendation of the concierge at Boscolo Hotel. I told this concierge that we had dinner at Osteria 44 the night before and loved it… I wanted the same food quality & experience. This was not the same. The food was mediocre and overpriced. The ambiance was cheesy & touristy. If you’re looking for good food, this is not your spot. This is my honest opinion.

Not worth going to. Our hotel recommended it and they are clearly getting a kick back. Way overpriced with a mediocre, moistly young, wine list. They have a surprise service charge. For us the service charge amounted to 25 Euros for our party of 3. Stay clear of this one.

We ate our first dinner in Rome at Clemente, and it was just okay. Located in a very touristy but still pretty square near the Pantheon, sit outside if the weather is nice and take in the hustle and bustle of Rome in the evening. The food was mediocre, and on the costlier side. The service was fine. I wouldn’t seek this one out to return to, but it’s definitely not a place to avoid either. Perfectly acceptable, but not special.

This place is as good as it gets for Italy! One thing there is plenty of in Italy is Italian food. Some are good and some are bad, but Ristorante Clemente Alla Maddalena is one of the best in Rome! We had been recommended to this place by our concierge at the Hotel Cavalier and were very pleased with the recommendation. Everything from the service, the atmosphere, and especially the food was spectacular! You can’t go wrong here. I’m giving this place 2 thumbs up and will be recommending it to my family and friends!
