Quattro Fromaggio(four cheese) bruschetta was two slices of toast with cream cheese spread on top. The ham, mushroom, olive, artichoke and egg pizza featured four whole olives and one slice of artichoke in the center of a cheese pizza with admittedly tasty prosciutto spread around an unsliced pizza. Not great.

This was our very first meal in Rome after arriving early in the evening. We decided to walk around our neighborhood and decided on this place as we could sit out on the patio and take in the amazing surroundings. Everything was very good from the melon and prosciutto to probably the best buffalo mozzarella we had on our entire trip to Italy. Everyone was very pleased with their entrée’s. My wife ordered the scampi and it came with very large prawns and langostine’s grilled with a very light lemon, garlic and butter sauce. It was completely opposite of what you would think of scampi in the USA. I had an anchovy pizza and it was amazing. The pungent salty flavor of the anchovy went great with the richness of the tomato sauce and crispy crust. We also ordered the past fagioli which was the best I’ve ever had. It was truly an amazing dish. We got lucky choosing this place at random. We almost came back on several occasions but tried to not go to the same place twice. We came to experience Italy and this place was definitely a good experience.

We had mixed feelings about how we felt about this restaurant. Three of us ordered pizza and the fourth ordered lamb. Unfortunately the lamb was overcooked and some felt the pizza crust wasn’t the best. The pizza was cooked in a wood oven and had a wonderful flavor. The restaurant has a wonderful location close to the Pantheon.
