Good — better — Luigi! Pizza Luigi is one of my favourite pizza places in Rome. Close to the food center «Eataly» and the train station Ostiense, the take away and restaurant offers a big variety of the worldwide famous Italian dish. You can order white pizza (pizza bianca) or red pizza, pizza with vegetables or pizza with porchetta (pork), pizza with prosciutto or, as dessert highlight, pizza with nutella :)
Pizza Luigi is always crowded. The eating area (the restaurant) is arranged in simple way and most of the times it gets quite loud inside. Last time the waiters were not as friendly as we are used to, nevertheless what counts is the taste of the pizza and it has convinced us as usual — crispy & tasty!!!
If you wish to eat in the restaurant, better call before and book a table.

We ordered the mushroom, sausage and mozzarella pizza. It was the usual round one cut into 8 slices — all for € 7. This fed the two if us adequately!
I really enjoyed the pizza, staff were really friendly. We even got a free arancini type ball as we waited. We went at closing time at the place was quite. The neighbourhood is a bit creepy so I wouldn’t go there after dark as tourists really stand out. Good food, nice staff, great prices.
