Ombre Rosse

Stayed in Rome for a week and came to this spot almost every day. Super service, diverse crowd, yummy food and well made drinks, plus awesome free live music. You really can’t go wrong with this place. Gianluca, Danilo, Bianca and the rest of the staff made us feel like family.

Met a friend at Ombré Rosse for drinks. While we did not eat, I did want to take a moment to call out the exceptional staff working the restaurant /​café. They were absolutely packed when we showed up with our two kids — instead of turning us away, they asked us to wait a moment and then came up with a seating arrangement that would work for us.
I can imagine OR being brilliant in the summer, with a gorgeous patio and live band. We will have to come back next time we are in Rome.

Rom ist eine faszinierende Stadt! Sie ist jedoch weitaus mehr als alte Gemäuer, Pizza und Wein. Auch hier herrscht am Abend wildes treiben — die Nacht wird zum Tag gemacht.
Am besten genießt man diese Seite von Rom Trastevere — quasi dem Kreuzberg von Rom !
Nachdem wir einen wundervollen Sonnenuntergang beobachtet haben, trieb es uns neugierig in das Viertel, über das wir schon so viel gelesen hatten. Bisher hatten wir die Abende gemütlich bei einem Glas Wein in kleinen urigen Restaurants verbracht. Nun sollte das wilde Nachtleben her. Durch Zufall sind wir im Ombré Rosse gelandet. Im Außenbereich standen mehrere Metallstühle an runden Tischen. Die Stimmung hier war freudig ausgelassen und dennoch vertraut.
Ich hatte mir einen fruchtigen Cocktail geschmeckt, der super lecker war. Mein Freund einen Rum. Zum Rum kam eine Platte mit einem Haufen frischem Kaffee, Brocken dunkler Schokolade sowie Zucker. Zusammen mit dem Rum sollten diese immer wieder ein neues Geschmackserlebnis bieten. Haben Sie — und wir haben etwas so in dieser Art noch nie gesehen.
Zu unseren Drinks gab es Knabberzeug aufs Haus. Von rechts und links auf den Straßen hörte man Musik, lautes Lachen und Freude lag in der Luft.
Aber auch von drinnen drang Musik nach draußen — frischer Rockn Roll.
Wenn dann nach ein zwei Drinks langsam aber deutlich der Appetit einsetzt, kann ich nur die frische Focaccia (sie kam noch heiß zum Tisch) empfehlen! Hammer.
Die Kellner waren absolut aufgeschlossen und haben uns am 2. Abend direkt wieder erkannt. :)

Cute restaurant in Trastevere neighborhood with great patio seating, friendly service and good food. On our way home from Vatican we passed through this neighborhood and so glad we stopped for lunch. Their pasta is homemade and really good. Our waitress was super sweet in helping us find a good place to spend afternoon and fun to talk with, very animated. It was a great lunch and I would recommend stopping by, lunch for our family of 5 was 65E. Water is free and so are little snacks before your food arrives.

We had a lovely night with amazing music and drinks. Wonderful ambience. We didn’t have dinner because it was late. It’s authentic and does not feel touristy.

Ombré Rosse est sur une place assez charmante de Trastevere et semble idéale pour se poser afin de grignoter un bout.
On vous propose des choses assez simples: paninis, salades, bruschettas et pâtes. C’était une grosse déception pour nous. La mozzarella de supermarché français était meilleure que celle-​ci, les tomates n’étaient pas assez mûres.
Le service était «à la va vite», «jte parle mais jte regarde pas». Pas super, en somme. A essayer pour un verre peut-​être?

Just came here for drinks, so I can’t speak on the food. Nice bar with a good drink selection. Great service and wifi is a plus. A little small, but a nice spot for bar hopping in the Trastevere area.

Had a bottle Rosso Conero (red wine from Marche) with a friend, got free chips, olives and some cheese with it. Service was fast. Sat outside for smoking and watching people passing by. Paid 22 Euros. God I miss Rome.

This place is great. Good food, friendly service, good music (indie rock), cool style.

Great bar right down the alley from the main square in the Trastevere. Loved the cocktails during happy hour, complimentary bruschetta they kept dropping at our table. Both servers accommodating to our son, who was so happy with his limonata and potato chips. Nice to be a little off the fray, but still lots of action to view from your seat.

Après avoir marchées toute la matinée dans Rome et déambulées dans les ruelles de Trastevere, il est temps de se restaurer! Au détour d’une petite place, nous tombons sur Ombré Rosse qui nous fait bien envie avec sa jolie terrasse ombragée. Bön choix! J’ opte pour un classique: salade mozzarella di buffalla tomates et mon amie prends des pâtes. La salade est bonne, les pâtes aux pesto délicieuses, viva italia !! Le serveur est ultra gentil et les portions bien généreuses. Pas de concert car nous y sommes allées un midi.

Ombré Rosse lies in the heart of what I’d like to call young Rome — the place to be for young Roman people during the weekend.
The place is located in a fantastic area of old Rome and is easily accessible whether you’re getting there by car (don’t mind the traffic nor the parking issues though) or by other means of transportation. The prices are exceptionally reasonable and the atmosphere is unbeatable.
I only have one «but» and it concerns the service — we went there on a Saturday night and from what I gathered, the entire place was served by two people — a man and a woman. One of them was highly unpleasant and unprofessional while the other one was just okay but nothing beyond that. The service was downright awful and this should seriously be noted down because it ain’t fun to be treated like air when you’re a paying customer.
But aside from the fact that the service is awful, I really do recommend this place because of the localization, the broad menu as well as because of the fact that the atmosphere is awesome. The décor was great too, which just adds to the general atmosphere.

Nice Italian beer with a vegetarian panini with zucchini, mozzarella and sundried tomatoes. Followed by a doppio and maybe a Strega. If the locals are here, it’s perfect for the straniero. All at your leisure outdoors with heat lamps to people watch.
