If there was one thing that was a pleasant surprise on my recent visit to Rome, it was how well the city does speakeasy’s and cocktail bars… Niji was no exception… exquisitely appointed cocktail bar that caught my attention as I headed just up the street to catch dinner at Da Enzo. I decided I had to come back following dinner to have at least one drink here… had a wonderfully prepared gin cocktail before the bartender experimented with Havana Club rum and made a perfect daiquiri. Great staff and unique furnishings. Reasonably priced as well.

Best speakeasy type bar in Rome. We
were here 7 nights and this was THE highlight. Couldn’t say enough of the bartenders and their personalized, polished and knowledgeable service. I wish this place on every ‘perfect’ cocktail seeking patron. Visit it.

Stumbled in after dinner at Da enzo al 29. Didn’t realize it was a bar until you walk in. Very cool décor, incredibly unique. Must see if you are in the area. The drink menu was very creative. The two bar tenders/​owners knew their stuff and you could tell how passionate they were about mixology. This is no place to go and get a rum and coke or vodka cranberry. These guys create works of art with their drinks and it was a great experience. I would definitely go back next time i am in Rome.

From the moment you walk through the door, this place infects you. Its décor is a wild mix of classic frames housing a variation of David la chappelle prints and classic paintings. The atmosphere is amazing but where Niji really shines is with its cocktails. Try the ‘er mito’ for a fresh, earl grey infused take on a negroni. And the spritz’s are something to write home about too. I came before dinner and I’ll be back after.

Like the other reviews say — awesome vibe, great décor, passionate and knowledgeable bartender. My wife had a martini with a Niji twist and I had a Campari cocktail. Both were excellent. I highly recommend a visit here, perhaps before or after dinner at da Enzo down the street.

Very cool bar with an awesome vibe to it. Really interesting cocktails around 9−10euros each with an awesome bartender who is really into his craft. Great place to relax before or after dinner with friends. Their plate of food with the cocktails really pairs well with most of their drinks (gave a little sweet, salty and sour to fit the drinks). Definitely a must try.

Very cool amazingly designed cocktail craft bar and lounge. The bartenders are friendly and amazing.
I highly recommend the Earl Grey gin infused cocktail and the Kuala Lumpur Cardamom infused vodka cocktail. Both are amazing (ask for little or no sugar to really bring out the flavors)
Great place for a pre or post dinner drink.
And you must see the décor.
