Stay away! These people are criminals and thieves. They bring you bread and then charge 2EUR for it(it is not stated on menu) — charged 9EUR for tax — the only place that has done that. AND when I asked about the 12EUR lobster and what the 100 hectogram meant he told me it means it comes with tomatoes and garlic butter. I figured this was some langostino dish, but thought I would try it out thinking that the 100 hectogram had something to do with the size of the lobster or something. When I got the bill I received an 87EUR bill and by the way I did not have more than 2 oz. of lobster, and NO pasta, no side dish, nothing. I’ve looked up hectogram since I left and 100 hectogram = 352.739619 ounces so it still doesn’t make any sense whatsoever. Basically they charged me 72EUR for under 2oz of lobster then 9EUR for tax 2EUR for bread and 4EUR for sprite which came out to over $ 93 for LUNCH — no salad, nothing but under 2oz. of lobster. They are thieves. He knew exactly what he was doing — they are criminals and the bill was hand written — now that I have researched more this is a first sign that they are giving you a dishonest bill. STAYAWAY and I truly hope more people complain — this place gives Rome a bad name & either the criminals need to be fired or this place needs to be shut down. If you read their reviews on Trip Advisor this is the norm for them to double and triple charge.

Never expected to have truly bad tasting pasta in Rome, especially not for the amount of money we paid here. This review is for service, taste, portion size, and attitude. Sadly, one star feels like more than this place deserves primarily because of their attitude. Really rude server and owner. They bring you cold, stale bread without you asking for it, and then charge you 2 euros for it, saying that it is a policy(written under the German section of their menu and nowhere else). They also charged us 2 euros per person for service charge. Not unheard of in Rome, but usually not combined with bad food in small portions and horrible service from rude people. Pasta was over cooked, sauce was watery, and bruschetta was one oil-soaked piece of tasteless bread. Also — when asked for an explanation of the charges, both the owner and server responded horribly rudely rather than explaining. I used my hand to point out something on the bill and the owner grabbed my arm to push it away. TERRIBLE experience overall.

If you are a tourist, absolutely do not go in here! We went in because the owner stopped us and seemed very friendly and welcoming and the prices seemed decent. They served us bread as a lot of places do in Italy, but they did it without asking so we thought it was free of charge. It was stale and hard bread, by the way. They charged is 2 euros for it! Then the pasta and bruschetta came. The pasta was overcooked and the sauce tasted worse than bottled sauce. It was hands down the most DISGUSTING pasta I’ve ever had. Thankfully every place besides this one in Italy makes great pasta! We got the bill and it had some extra charges we didn’t understand. We politely asked the owner about them and he started yelling about«Americans» and«get out.» I couldn’t believe it. It was just an awful experience. I think I’ve deciphered two of the charges, they’re «pane» «service charge,» the second of which is pretty normal in Italy if you sit down for a meal. But overall, I would say don’t get tricked by the fake friendliness of the owner. The food and service are both awful! They will absolutely trick you if you’re a tourist. Good pasta places are abundant in Rome. Don’t waste your time and money here!

If this review was written completely on food, we would have given it 3 stars. We had a sampler appetizer that the owner created for us– decent, but we didn’t enjoy it enough to finish it. We also got homemade fettuccine with meat sauce, which was fantastic. What knocked this review to 2 stars was our bill. We were charged 4 euros for a table sitting fee and 6 euros for tax. We haven’t been charged either of those at any other place we’ve been. I think they spotted easy tourist targets and took advantage of it.

Schnelles Tor also, Sicherheit im Spiel, alles passt! Doch was passiert? Was nun?!

We were staying close by, Bernini hotel, and tried this place out after a long day in Vatican City. Good prices and great company inside. Everyone was having a great time. Good selection of infused grappa.

Can you say AMAZING!?! Intimate casual family owned restaurant with freshly made pastas. Found this«walking by» and turned out being our best meal in Rome. My wife and I enjoyed Veal Saltimboca Alla Romana, Strozzapreti Alla Gricia(a tightly rolled pasta with bacon in a light sauce) and Tiramisu for dessert. Very good house wines and a reasonable meal cost. Complimentary limoncello and cookies served at meal’s end. Very personable owner and staff. Don’t miss an opportunity to eat here. It was so good, I felt obligated to add this business to Unilocal
