L’eccellenza

We were referred here by our hotel concierge.
The place is nice enough, and I enjoyed most of the food, but I wish they had a menu option. We were only given the choice of meat or seafood, and then several courses of food came out. They gave us way too much food. There were several plates of antipasti (since I elected for the seafood and my husband opted for the meat, we tasted everything). Then huge pastas, then huge main courses, then a large dessert. We ate so much antipasti and pasta that I was too full to enjoy my main course or dessert. The food was plentiful, but nothing was especially gourmet or innovative.
All that, plus the house wine (excellent local Lazio wine named L’eccellenza too), was only 40E per person. It’s a deal, but go very hungry.

Wonderful meal. Fresh fish-​very fresh. Fixed price fish dinner had fish appetizer; mussels; grilled fish and yummy dessert. I had delicious anti pasta; mixed grilled fish and grilled veggies that were awesome. Great service. First dinner in Rome and it was a very good one.
