Come to this restaurant according to the reviews. As a vegetable lover, I excitedly ordered the Vegetarian Antipasto, and basil spaghetti. Well, it is my bad that I didn’t realize the review on the starter was made 2YEARS ago. The vegetables now are pre-grilled and 【full of oil】, which are not special nor delicious and greasy as cheap Italian restaurant. The spaghetti was a little too salty for me, but it is fine as Italian dish are all a little too salty for me. However, the worst is the spaghetti was a little 【too hard than normal】. The overall flavor is ok, not outstanding.

liked the Roma Saltimboca. relaxed atmosphere and fast and friendly service. Locals eat here, too. Prices resonable.

Excellent food and value. Took family of six and all had a great meal. Started with table sized antipasti and all items were fantastic. All entrees were great from pizza to oven baked fish and pasta dishes. Tiramisu was best in Rome to date. Service was excellent and dishes were hot and well timed. Highly recommended for around the Vatican area.

This place was awesome. Food was great and so was our waiter John Carlos. Very reasonably priced. We tried the pasta recommended by the waiter, bucatini all’amatriciana. It was a thick hollow noodle with a hearty sauce containing chunks of ham. Very flavorful. The ravioli was fresh made with a light cream sauce and large fresh mushrooms. House wine was a bargain at $ 4 half liter. The pizza looked amazing, but we did not order that. We will definitely try to return for the thin crust pizza.

Gotta agree with the others. Come here where the locals eat next to the Vatican. Large selection very reasonably priced. Numerous fish and meat choices among pastas and pizzas. We had excellent rabbit, chicken, Napoli pizza and loved it all! Guess what? Prosecco on tap, 8 Euro for a liter. What more could you ask for?

I will not spoil this place’s perfect record of 5 star reviews, it deserves it. Simple, quiet, peaceful getaway from the hustle of the streets around St. Peter’s and the gift shops. Menu is reasonable as far as prices and selection go. You can split a bottle of wine or a bottle of local beer, share a pizza, but don’t share the bruscetta. It’s only enough for one. The interior is exactly what you would expect for a real Italian eatery, not fancy. Fancy is not better. Italians don’t cut their pizza, by the way, so don’t complain about that. They know a little English here but don’t try to have a conversation. Know some Italian so you can sound normal.

Agree with Sarah. My wife and I have had two afternoon meals at L’Angoletto. Each meal was a delightful dining experience. The restaurant was recommended by our hotel, Alimandi Vaticano, also an excellent hotel. The first day we shared a caprese salad in which the tomatoes were sweet and succulent, direct from the nearby market! My wife had a vegetable soup she indicated reminded her of her Grandmother’s and i had the best Spaghetti Carbonara i have ever tasted(and i have tried lots!). The second day we split the Caprese again and also split a lasagna that was clearly homemade and fresh, delicate and feathery with a light tomato sauce. Having walked around the neighborhood we did not find any other restaurant with a menu similar to L’angoletto. so dinner tonight is an easy choice. the prices are excellent for the traveler’s budget, the service comes with a smile and minimal English, and the wine is a great value.

This was one of our best experiences in Italy. We came upon the restaurant accidentally after touring the Vatican. It is a very short walk from the Vatican, but really didn’t seem like a tourist trap. The prices were fair, and there were Italians eating there and not just a ton of tourists(like us!). Everyone was really friendly, especially our waiter. I tried to ask him if I customize the antipasto place to include just certain grilled vegetables and olives. He didn’t understand what I was asking and I didn’t understand what he was saying, but he walked me right over to the beautiful antipasto display and had me point at what I wanted and he put it right on the plate with a big smile. He was wonderful! I had the Spaghetti al Pesto and it was the best Pesto I have ever had. I crave it to this day. It was slightly creamy without being cream based, and garlicky without being too much. It was incredible. My husband had the Margherita Pizza. He liked it, but he liked my Pesto better! I highly recommend making your way to L’Angoletto ai Musei. It was amazing.
