Had a very nice evening here. It’s out of the way in a quiet street and we ate outside. Had the shrimp and squid calamari to start, then the lamb which was also tasty. Tried the pastry and cream for dessert. Servers were very attentive and polite.

This restaurant is on a very nice, quiet piazza — Piazza Margana. No vehicles can drive in here so it has a lovely atmosphere if you are looking to get away from the noise and bustle. The food was good. I went with my family and there were seven of us — from grandfather to grandkids. The kids(12&14) were a little discouraged by the menu at first, but they had a simple pasta(tagliatelle) with cheese and black pepper that was a hit with them. They also had what sounded like a simple gnocchi dish, but we didn’t try that. My sister got a delicious salad with shrimp. The shrimp tasted incredibly sweet and fresh. We shared tomatoes & mozzarella and prosciutto & melon, which were both very good. My nephew ordered the roast beef dish. It was thinly sliced and served cold on top of arugula with a little gravy on top. He took one look at it and was not happy — just too unfamiliar to him. However the adults all shared it and we found it very delicious. The beef was cooked, but parts were pink. We like that style, but if you don’t then this is not a dish for you. Nice staff and the menu has an English translation.

This might be a Roman restaurant on one of the pleasantest small squares in the city. The ambience of the Piazza Margana is lovely and gentle given its proximity to the Capitoline craziness. The food here is good, solid Roman cuisine without frills. The clientele was mostly local with a few visitors thrown into the mix. I enjoyed the large tube pasta amatriciana and a simple but completely delicious stewed chicken with peppers and tomatoes that was fall off the bone tender, washed down with a bottle of the red Tuscan Morellino de scarsano, my new best red, wet friend. The service was very friendly and I was waited on by one of the still somewhat rare professional female waiters. Her approach was excellent. I will definitely return here. Pace to my Italian colleague Valeria, the only other reviewer of this restaurant but it is closed on Monday(and possibly Sunday as well)

Great setting in the Ghetto area, not far from the Colosseum. Very overpriced for a thin grilled piece of tuna. But good service, linen table cloth, relaxing neighborhood for outdoor dining.
