If you can go, go! It was one of my favorite stops on the entire trip. It was me and one other and we got the medium board which was the perfect size and definitely filled us up for awhile. It was a perfect atmosphere and the workers were friendly towards Americans, but also knew exactly how to make the most perfect cheese and meat pairings. Topped of with a cheap(but good) glass of the house wine. I would HIGHLY suggest and will return if I’m ever back.

Love, love, love this little shop! Had a small board and a bottle of white wine. Way too much food for two people! Only 5EUR per person + the bottle… at 10EUR! About 5EUR than my last GLASS. Don’t miss this place!!!

Get the platter and thank me later. You can choose three sizes(small, medium, large) and then the workers behind the counter begin building your platter of deliciousness. There is a great variety of spreads, olives, and of course hams and cheese. Medium was the perfect amount for an aperitivo, all washed down with some delicious wine. The staff is a little rough but they churn out delicious stuff. Don’t expect to have your hand held but do expect delicious offerings.

We had awesome night here! We had bottle of Chianti & the board with appetizers for two… We had such an awesome time that we continue with second bottle and order of pasta with mushrooms & chorizo. If you are in Rome you need to have a night out here!

I was on a tight schedule running around Rome, didn’t have much time and was dying to get some food. So I figured a Panini would fit the bill perfectly… Well, not so much. What I got was a large piece of flat bread with two thin slices of cured pork, and a small piece of cheese. That’s it… The meat and cheese boards may be the winners here, but most definitely not the sandwiches.

Prices: Medium mixed platter 12.50 euros Large platter 15 euros Glass of house wine 2.50 euros Is the line worth it? Hell yeah! The best prosciutto I’ve ever had. A few notes about some oddities here: According to their signs, they don’t actually hold a restaurant license. This means don’t expect someone to seat you. Seat yourself when a table is available(while being mindful of the people who arrived before you of course). Check the menu posted outside and know what you want because they won’t give you one at your table. Order at the counter and set your own table. They do kindly provide free water from a fountain here though. Onto to the food, you can choose what you want on your platter if you feel inclined to, or you can just let them create a platter of mixed meats, cheeses, and vegetables for you. We opted to go with a medium platter and let them put it together. We got a gorgeous selection of prosciutto, salami, and balsalmic vinegar topped ham(and I mean the nice balsamic vinegar not the cheap stuff at the grocery store at home). We also got two types of cheeses, some bread with sundried tomatoes, bread with truffled blue cheese, grilled vegetables, some fruit, and I may have missed something in admiring the awesomeness of my dinner. Wonderful food, a great upbeat atmosphere, and just one of our favorite Italian meals(in both Florence and Rome). Highly recommend. Also close to the Trevi Fountain.

My fiancé and I just got back from Italy and we had a wonderful time. One of the best parts about the trip was the food. This place was no exception. For $ 20 we got a medium size sampler with two glasses of wine. The platter came with an assortment of meats, cheese, and spreads. Great for lunch, to just sit and eat and take in all of Italy.

Amazing price and tons of food! If you’re two people you only need the small platter. Lol. The food was great and cheap bottles of good wine. Great music too– Beatles and then salsa music was on. Just super chill and free water!

3.5 I don’t know what happened. It all worked out on paper: location, good smells, good menu, somewhat hungry me… yet, the sum of all the parts left me wanting more. Nothing was bad and if in the area(and, you likely will be at some point of your stay in Rome), it’s worth checking out but know that all that glitters is not gold and all that promises pork products might not move you right round(right round). I knew that as I explored the vestiges of the ancient world, I would wander in to LP. I’d planned on it. When I arrived mid-afternoon(after the lunch rush; I’m a professional), I knew that I’d made the right choice. The décor was rustic. The smells were intoxicating and the crowds were minimal. Considering that I had sort of ruined my lunch with a porchetta sandwich earlier in the day(see review), I wanted to make up for it and fill my belly enough to last me until I landed in London the next day. Rather than choose from their sandwich board, I decided to make my own meal(since I am a food alchemist). I worked wonders and even the employee was impressed at my flavor combination skills: Tuscan bread, prosciutto, tomato, kale, artichoke, and gorgonzola truffle spread. Right? Right? To drink, I decided on one of their house beers. The cans were very attractive but I should have paid more attention to the style of beer rather than the color and design. I chose an IPA. It actually paired well with my sandwich but I, as a rule, don’t care for IPAs. I tore in to my sandwich, eager to taste victory and… it was ok. The gorgonzola truffle spread was extremely mild and muted. When combining gorgonzola and truffle, the words ‘mild’ and ‘muted’ should not come to mind. They did. The bread was a touch on the old/stale side and the woman behind the bar(to whom the gentleman punted the making of my sandwich) was pretty light-handed with the prosciutto. The bones were there(thanks, me) but the taste didn’t live up to the promise. If back in Rome, I can see stopping in for a glass of wine and to rest my feet(the space is very comfortable, despite the abundance of wood) but I wouldn’t be in a rush to try another sandwich. Maybe it was an off day?

Oh. My. Goodness! There is a reason this place is rated as one of the best in Rome. Delicious food, wine, and the atmosphere is just amazing. Such friendly place. Its small, intimate, unique, authentic, pretty much perfection! Easily my favorite place in Rome and all of Italy.

Hello. I’m in love with this place. It is tiny and you will have to wait on line for a seat of you get there for dinner time. Worth the wait. We tried to come our first night in Rome but the wait was 8 people deep and we were so jet lagged we just wanted to eat something at that point. I’m so glad we were able to eat here before we left. Mixed platter for 2, 3 glasses of wine, burrata bruschetta = 50 €

Amazing!!! A must if you are in Rome!!! U fortunately this place is really small and has maybe 4 total tables inside. I came there in the off hours and still barely got a table. So make sure you are aware of this. It is worth all the sacrifices!!!

This place reminded me of a hipster joint back home. It was awesome! I can see how it would get very easily crowded because there are only a few tables inside and one up front. It’s super small. My hubby and I got the«ham on ham» platter and it was literally just ham. Some of the best damn ham I’ve had! Italian ham, that is. The girl who brought it to us explained each one and which part of Italy they were from. Super friendly. We got a bottle of house red. Not really paying attention to the cost, we were paranoid of what a bottle of wine and this 15 € platter would cost. In total, it was only 24 €. What?! So cheap. A bottle of wine alone at other places can cost that much. I’d recommend stopping here during early lunch on the weekdays when it’s not so crazy. You won’t regret it! My only regret is that we didn’t try more.

Perfect to stop by for a quick bite while walking around. The place is pretty tight but we were fortunate enough to arrive when a 2-person table was open. The staff is unbelievably friendly and speak English fluently. They pointed us to the English menu on the wall. We were hungry but not famished, so we got the small mixed plate for 2 and 2 glasses of the house red. It really hit the spot! 2 types of cured meat, I think a type of bologna, some bread with different olive spreads(maybe 1 type was olive, 1 type pesto?) and bread with more of a tomato based spread. There were some veggie slices like zucchini and squash and such. And cheese! Also the house red was really good, only € 2.50/glass. The small mixed plate was € 5/person, so total was € 15. Really energetic atmosphere, people coming in and out. A lot of tourists, we overheard 2 other Americans trying to decipher the Italian menu so we showed them the English menu and what a small mixed plate for 2 looks like. Also some fun music, like electro swing. Got those on Shazam.

We were the first customers to walk in around 11:30 am and at that moment their eyes started rolling to the back of their heads, as if here we go… more tourists! We questioned what their pasta of the day was and at that point one started laughing uncontrollably and the other started rolling her eyes even harder with a sour look on her face as if they didn’t want us dining there. We asked for two glasses of house white wine and the nasty attitude just continued. I couldn’t figure out what it was at first so we continued to order the meat platter for two, a Porchetta sandwich, a pasta, two glasses of wine which was plenty of food for 2 during lunch and these surly girls were acting like they did not want our business. There was another Asian American couple ordering also who were laughed at for showing an image of an item they wanted. They laugh condescendingly and are not friendly towards ‘tourists’. Most likely racist aholes like the rest of the town. A regular Italian walked in and their attitude was completely different, very pleasant towards the locals, not us. I wouldn’t recommend giving them business. They clearly don’t want it from us and do not deserve it whatsoever. Their charcuterie board is also 85% bread and the pasta felt like it was the cheap boxed kind, you know the ones we get at Ralph’s(Barilla) for $ 0.99 on sale. Not worth dealing with their horrible stinky surly condescending attitudes.

This was such an experience! Cannot say enough how much we LOVEDLOVEDLOVED this place… Not too far from Trevi Fountain. 3 minute walk! Loved the atmosphere and people! Trust me it gets very crowded in here. Small place, and unless you have a table you can only order sandwiches to go, SOGRAB a table if you can… The meat, cheese, and bread trays are amazing! Best deal for your Euros! € 23 for 2 glasses of wine and mixed meat tray for 2 people. Wish we had something this great here! You just can’t go wrong with anything you order from this place. In Rome? Make this a must stop to eat place!

This is my favorite place in Rome! There’s nothing i love more than red wine, bread and charcuterie. I let myself unwind here. order a plate of ham and a bottle. then order a little more… Dined here several times and each time they treat you like old friends. It’s super casual, a cool spot and they play American music. The house wine is extremely affordable and the charcuterie is delicious. My favorite is just the regular smoked ham with their own balsamic sauce! I bought two bottles of the balsamic to take back home. It’s also very cozy. no more than a handful of tables inside lining the walls and one outside(perfect people watching spot). We spent hours in here eating platters of pork, veggies, bread and washing it down with plenty of red wine.

Amazing find via Unilocal!Thank god for T-Mobile’s free data in 90+ countries, because my restaurant finding abilities in Europe leveled up this trip. This place is tiny, and a mere stone’s through from the Trevi fountain. It was tucked away on a side street, so it wasn’t as crowded as it should have been, and also lacked the ubiquitous«tourist menu» + obnoxious hawking waiter. Sold! We went for a prosciutto sandwich and a charcuterie platter and two glasses of red wine. The tables in the back were full when we got there, but it only took a couple of minutes before one opened up and we were able to snag it. There are also tiny high top tables with stools and wine holders installed in the wall– so cute! The food was amazing, especially the cured meats. This was a bargain considering the low cost, and the atmosphere was great. Bustling with people, with smoked meats hanging from the ceiling, and great bread. I would make this a destination the next time i’m visiting Rome– we would have come back if we hadn’t discovered it on our last day.

Hands down, this was our favourite spot in Rome. We had difficulty finding it the first time but couldn’t stop going back once we had! People were pouring out of the door at 7ish but it was much quieter gone 9pm — presumably people were coming for their aperitifs or a quick platter before their main meal elsewhere. It’s small but perfectly formed inside, with a large meat and cheese counter taking up the majority of the space. Not legally a restaurant, menus can be found on the walls and a cutlery station towards the back of the room. There’s no table service so head up to the counter to place your order. Unfortunately we didn’t eat on our visits but the food coming out looked excellent. All the cured meats and cheese you could imagine, served on large wooden boards. Look up and you realise that there are large legs of ham etc. hanging from the ceiling, small bowls attached to the bottom to catch any drips. Everything is sliced fresh and it’s evident that these guys are passionate about what they do. Tabs are attached to the bottom of your glass so it’s a very simple payment process at the end of your visit. Prosecco was € 3.50 and wine € 2.50 a glass, both generous portions and delicious to boot. A great set up which deserves its popularity. Fit this into your holiday.

If this place was by my job in NY, I would be here everyday after work, so its probably for the best that it is not. The interior is basically set up like a rustic butcher shop with a few seats against the wall with small tables and wine glass holders and a three tables in the back. Very intimate and close setting, and super friendly staff who really want you to have some great food. The menu lets you choose from a bunch of the meats and cheeses they have that day. I highly recommend the large mix charcuterie board, which comes with meats, cheeses, fruits, bread with spread and a whole bowl of soft bread for 15 eur. They also have sandwiches to choose from and one off items. The wine here is great all around and crazy cheap! Amazing quality, along with your favorites for 2.5 a glass, and the bottles were in the low 20’s. Ended up coming here both days while I was in Rome for lunch and both days I wished i could come back everyday. They take credit, self seating and self service, just order at the counter. Otherwise Sit down relax and take a load off with a few glass of wine and some snacks.
