Do you like good meat? Do you like good cheese? Do you like good Wine? Are you in Rome??? …go here it’s worth the wait for the meat, cheese and wine. Small little place in the heart of Rome searving up some amazing meat and cheese boards, add some wine in the mix and you are looking at true awesomeness.

It sounded good as I was researching where to go while still in VT but it actually exceded my expectation. We went there for lunch and were greeted with enthusiasm. We must have looked confused eventhough I knew there was no table service. The staff must have recognized the look and guided me with pointing at other tables what to order. I more or less said yes to everything and it was well worth it. The slabs of wood that hold the morsels of food are beautiful but not as beautiful and artistic as the selection of meats, cheeses, bread and olives etc that are presented on it. Everything tasted fresh and made for a wonderful lunch. Have a bottle of house wine with it to make the experience complete. Would love to have an equivilant here in my state.

Yes. Yes. Yessssssss! Take one — you’re NOT a vegetarian and when I say«Salami», you say«gimme more». If I say«ham», you say«gimme more». If I say«cheese», you say«gimme more». Wine? Vino bianco, vino rosso, frizzante, sì? You say«gimme more»? Well welcome then to your next, big, feasting frenzy! Great plateaus of different cuts of meats; from chorizo to mortadella, from herbs & garlic salumi to prosciutto crudo. Different types of cheeses. Olives. Bruschette. You can order specific ones(just point anything that looks good to you) or have them make you a surprise platter. Works better as seriously, What. To. Choose?! They have different wines that they serve per glass; you can order from the menu, or, better option, tell them what types of wine you like //what your tastebuds love to encounter, and they’ll make the right choice for you. Not a joke. I’m a winesnob and I was seriously impressed. Touristic? Yes. Do we care? Nope. Awesome food. Awesome wines. Awesome service. Lovely décor. I don’t care… I did, however, pretend I was Irish again. There was a group of Dutch people sitting next to me and I always looooove to pretend I’m something British when abroad. So I could indulge in the art of eavesdropping. I know, I’m such a dork…

What a fun spot for happy hour in Trastevere! My mom and I snagged the only outdoor table and we had several people stop and chat us up because our platter of food looked simply irresistible. It’s only 5 euro per person for an expertly-plated board of meat, cheese, and snacks. As promised, the wine was colder than my ex-boyfriend’s heart.

Fantstico! I can imagine the reactions they got when first coming up with the idéa to start a place without a license. You have to look at the board to see what´s served, no table service, go to the counter to get your drinks! But, man, what a winning concept! Fantastic food, charming locale and decoration, and happy staff that makes everyone feel like one, big, happy family!

This place isn’t a restaurant, it is a deli with tables. So you’ve got great food and a hip vibe, but the service and cutlery is on you. That’s OK, because the food is great. We had an assortment of meats and cheeses, some fruit and bread — a bit like tapas. It was delicious, and the final bill was reasonable.

As we dined at Ditirambo, the Americans eating next to us said that we simply had to try La Prosciutteria in the Trastevere, they said it was unmissable. Checking reviews online confirmed their recommendation, and so off we went for an afternoon snack. And WHAT A SNACK. We were in around 4 or 5 pm on a Thursday, and it wasn’t terribly busy. It is small and cute place with lots of unusual quirks. One is that you have to serve yourself, they can’t bring stuff to your table(something about not having a restaurant license?) So I ordered a white wine(«served colder than your ex boyfriend’s heart,» hilarious) and my partner got a beer from the fridge, the wine was poured for me and I carried it to one of their two outdoor«tables»(two stools around a barrel). As we people-watched and sipped our drinks, the charming staff started cutting slices of meat, wedges of cheese, slices of bread, and arranging them on a plate with spreads, olives, and fruit. When the platter was done, they called out to us and we went to retrieve our snack. And oh, what a snack it was. Imagine the best of everything all on one plate. A small platter for two will serve as a light lunch or large snack, you can easily have a proper meal here for not a lot of money. We tried every possible combination of foods — olives with spread/bread, cheese and pears and nuts, meat and cheese, all of the above at once, go crazy! The meats were fresh and flavorful, I do wish there was more cheese but only because it was so good, the spreads were tangy and complex, the olives briny, the fruit fresh and sweet. No complaints, except that we had dinner reservations that night and couldn’t eat more. Get yourself here, no questions asked, you won’t regret it!

Really amazing selection of meats, cheeses and spreads. Outstanding value and over the top taste. One of the best meals I had this summer.

This place is spectacular! I am traveling alone and wanted a small op lace to enjoy some wine and people watch. I ended up staying for hours! The server, Amori was awesome. I will be going back for before I leave

This place is a gem. The spreads are fantastic, tasty, and look awesome. Plays great music, huge wine list, daily wines etc. I would recommend this place as a spot for before dinner, or if you’re feeling a light dinner this is ideal.

Stumbled at this cute place by accident and was very happy about it. Very friendly place, excellent prosciutto, wide variety of cheeses, vines and some homemade sweets. Would definitely recommend to anyone!
