This place was just what we were looking for. Mellow ambiance and great wine. We had an array of different dishes and were impressed by each. Our waiter was outstanding. We let him choose each of our wines and we were well over satisfied. The jazz band that played was the cherry on the cake. I definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing evening!

Just having arrived Rome and walked around our hotel, we were wonderfully surprised to find this very mellow wine bar. Exactly what we needed: a knowledgeable staff about the regional wines (even introduced us to a really good red pinot grigio!), light fare (we had an assortment of crostini and a very hearty salad with mackerel, beans, tomatoes, mozzarella di bufala & arugula. Great music selection too (jazzy) even though it wasn’t live.

Absolutely the exact restaurant we were looking for when in Rome. Not touristy, but is very close to the colosseum. Our waiter knew his wines extremely well and was not afraid to tell us if we were making a bad choice. GO TO THIS RESTAURANT! Let the waiter choose your wine, and have the desserts! You won’t regret it.

this little wine bar was right around the corner from our hotel and is super cute. we each just ordered a glass, since we had just come from our wine class at vino roma. we learned in our class that italians usually only drink w/​food as opposed to just having alcohol on its own in order to get hammered. therefore, we were presented with some apertivos of crostinis, which was really nice. i did notice that wherever we went to get drinks, we would get some snacks. i love italy!

Went here to have something a bit different – was in the mood for pecking at different things and not a full on 3 course dinner. They have cheese and salumi plates as well as salads and small hot dishes and desserts. Wines by the glass or by the bottle are plentiful.
We had a cheese plate and a beautiful red wine and the bill was 25euros. Easy breezy. The music was off that night – it was a guy doing a sound check! But would recommend on a day you want to try something more wine bar and less trattoria.
