A nice wee, quiet café in an area that, according to Unilocal at least, doesn’t have any good cafes. Has free WiFi and ummmm chairs and stuff. Do I have to keep writing? Seems non-touristy which is good.

The pizza is awesome and we also really liked the tea. We ordered fruit tea and mate tea and they were really good! Also the soya coffee is great. Good service and nice prices too.

Pizza in the US tastes and looks much better than the pizza here. I’m honestly convinced that this is one of those places that serves tourists frozen pizza thinking we don’t know any better. Not happy!

We had to eat close to Colosseum(had a child with us, ok?). Place is rather highly rated by fellow tourists. Never again will I trust them. One, no, two words to describe it: TT(Tourist Trap). Yes, TT parading as a «quirky», «homey», even«hipsteresque»(in words of fellow reviewers”. «Rare elegance, attention to the choice of dishes, ingredients«brags their website. Don’t believe it. None of it applied to lukewarm(not enough time in microwave, I guess), way too unmelted cheesy, meat lasagna, or to a tasteless parma and mozzarella sandwich. I really don’t know how you can screw up the latter, but they did. May pages of the menu devoted to descriptions of various teas they carry, but the more or less straightforward Earl Grey could hardly be distinguished from the cup of plain hot water in a blindfold test. The only non offending item was a glass of prosecco, which deserves 2 stars, in my opinion. I wish we chose better, like a good old TT. At least you know what you are paying for.

We stopped here for a bite. Walking distance from the coleseum. Service was good. Food items were prepared with care and served with a smile.

A nice hidden gem by the Colosseo. Varieties of gourmet teas selections and a selections of coffee drinks. Small food menu including salads, small entrées, and desserts. Mid range prices. Gourmet teas around 3 € — 4 €; coffees 2 € — 3 €. Food prices vary. Would recommend for a quick bite before or after the Colosseo/Palatine/Romance Forum.

A super fun café to have a meal at in the immediate area of the Colosseum. We stopped by late-ish to have dinner. Food was good and the service was very friendly. Definitely feels like a more«homey» type place than many of the touristy restaurants around the area. It’s a place I’d enjoy eating at often.

I had lunch there the 1st day we arrived to Rome. Food was home made and tasted ok. Portions were very small for the cost(9 Euros per person). I had the lasagna for instance, it was just a small portion with nothing else(they could have put a small house salad as a side to make it look better). Overall, quality of food is not bad but it’s overpriced for what we founded the rest of our trip in Rome.

Best Greek yogurt I’ve ever have. This is a charming place for a light breakfast(coffee and cake).

Interesting little spot not far away from the Colosseum and definitely worth the venture into the little streets. It almost feels a little hipster-esque because of how quirky the place was — from décor to menu selection. I’m glad this place offers different food options than the repetitive pizza and pasta choices. I had the Veal Meatballs and Curry, served with mixed greens and rice. The meal was really wholesome and balanced, just what I needed after eating non-stop protein and carbs on my vacation here. I also ordered one of their infused black teas with strawberry and strawberry leaves. It was perfect for the cold and chilly weather and really warmed me up. Service is friendly and attentive. Plus, free Wi-Fi! Great for any tourist/traveler.

This place was almost perfect! It’s like a little hipster café with home-cooked food. It definitely has the coffee shop vibe rather than the restaurant vibe but we did have lunch there – lasagne and wine. perfectly delicious and cozy. They also had a bunch of fresh juices on the menu that looked fantastic but we didn’t have room left. It was quiet, charming and definitely a great place to know about pre or post Colosseum.

So happy to find a simple, yummy café that’s not over priced! I ordered the verde salad and it’s the best salad I’ve had on our European vacation! Europeans don’t seem to be big on salad. Happy to have walked by!

GREAT place to go after a long day of touring the Colosseum and Roman Forum. While it’s tucked away and a little hard to find, once you do it’s well worth it! We had the lasagna and cannelloni, and it was so simple and delicious! You can tell the ingredients are very fresh and everything was delightful. The restaurant is small and family owned and the owner kept coming out to check on us and see if we liked the food. Highly recommend this place!

Stopped by here before heading to the Colosseum to start off the day. The location was key and just a bit away from the main attraction. We walked right in and were seated immediately inside. It was nice not being bombarded by waiters trying to sell their restaurant to you. I had some bruschetta, lasagna and a cappuccino. The bread was the right crispness and the toppings were fresh. The lasagna was also flavorful. My only complaint is that the portion was a tad small. I would’ve paid more for a little extra. Overall, food was good and the prices were reasonable.

My family and I, stumble upon this place from a Unilocal review that my cousin read up on. Pretty much would be a place I personally would overlook being that there are other restaurant around that have a better location to see the colosseum. But I’m glad me and my family didn’t the food was excellent, the lasagna I order was probably the best I have ever had; so fresh and tasteful. The bruschetta was a great appetizer to start off. Overall I would definitely recommend this place with the reasonable price and the customer service. But if they had a bigger serving I would definitely pay the extra.

Need a coffee, a drink, a juice, or dinner? I found all that and more here. The staff is extremely nice and the lady’s are very beautiful. The food is fresh and very delicious. This place is tucked away just a block east of the coloseum. If I lived in this neighborhood I would be here everyday. They treat tourist well and don’t over charge like most other places.

This is the best restaurant in Rome. I am visiting from Calgary and stumbled upon it after visiting the Colosseum. It has air conditioning and the cutest bathroom I’ve ever seen. The Sunday brunch is exquisite. A must do in Rome!
