I would kill for their Cremino and Nocciola on a cone. I have also accumulated quite the stash of chocolate bars.
I did not expect either of these things when I first saw Venchi, since it looked like a super bright chain store and an Italian at the train station had just told me to avoid loud looking gelato shops. Fortunately, I was starving and in dire need of a snack before dinner, so I gave Venchi a chance ;).

This place was incredible. Yes, it’s a chain but it’s reliable and consistent in its delivery. I visited a few times and had a couple of different flavored gelato. My favorite was stracciatelli. The chocolate is also super delicious, especially cremino. Service was quick and efficiency, but staff was unfriendly.

Schokolade, wohin das Auge reicht! Ob Vollmilchschokolade, Bitterschokolade oder weiße Schokolade — bei Venchi werdet ihr schnell fündig. Die kleinen Süßigkeiten eignen sich auch bestens als Mitbringsel.
Der wahre Grund, um des Öfteren bei Venchi vorbeizusehen, ist das köstliche Eis. Es ist sehr cremig und meiner Meinung nach einfach vollkommen im Geschmack.
Einziger Wermutstropfen: die Produkte bei Venchi haben alle einen gehobenen Preis. Auch die Kosten für das Eis sind im Vergleich zu anderen Eisdielen sehr gehoben. Da der Geschmack jedoch absolut überzeugt, drücke ich hier manchmal ein Auge zu! ;)

Venchi is a pretty big chain in Italy; it is consistent in being both a bit pricey (7 euro for a 2 scoop cone and 2 scoop cup) and delicious. We stopped by this one while we were exploring around the Pantheon. Try stracciatella, strawberry, mango. I tried some of their chocolate and it was quite good too.

Schöné Partisserie direkt beim Pantheon. Bieten neben Schokolade und Pralinen auch noch Eis und div andere Schokoladezubereitungen wie heiße bzw kalte Schokolade. Preislich bei Pralinen sehr gehoben sonst ok. Wenig Varianten — für Schokolade Liebhaber aber ein muss!

Very good gelato, but not worth the price. You get same quality elsewhere for cheaper. Just gotta get out of the touristy area. This place, was of course, next to the Pantheon. Flocks of tourists. What can you expect. If you’re here for chocolate then it is great. But my review is for excellent gelato.

The watermelon granita is just what you need when it’s hot out. And it’s relatively large for only 3 euros. The lemon granita is also very good. The granita are thick though. More like a meal than a drink.

I really like Venchi — great gelato, chocolate and a beautiful store. Their Pistachio gelato is better than most, and their Chocolate, oh their Chocolate, is supremely good. Top one or two gelateria, I would say, edging out Lindt in the chocolate category. Really really good! Four Stars.

Es ist schwierig, Eisdielen in Italien zu bewerten. Der Standard von Speiseeis ist hoch. Es ist im Vergleich zu Deutschland etwas sahniger und süßer. Insgesamt aber habe ich in Italien kein Eis gegessen, das weniger als 4 Sterne bekommen würde.
Venchi war uns bereits als Hersteller leckerer Schokolade bekannt, so wollten wir auch das Eis probieren. Am Touri-​Hotsport Pantheon gelegen, sind die Preis gesalzen (€ 3,50 muss man schon für einen kleinen Pappbecher berappen), doch das Eis ist prima. Sitzgelegenheiten gibt es nicht wirklich, dafür einen Verkauf von Schokolade und Patisserie.

Ohmygosh. Venchi has the BEST chocolate gelato ever. I’m serious.
Our tour guide had told us that Venchi made, specifically, the best chocolate gelato of anywhere in Roma. Lady wasn’t lying… it was certainly the best chocolate gelato I had on our trip. Smooth, creamy, bursting w/​cocoa. I paired it with a scoop of hazelnut — spettacolare! Had I known it was going to be so good I would have gotten a larger size cone.
Ordering is easy — we told the cashier what cup/​cone size we wanted, paid and were handed a ticket. Once you’ve decided on your flavors — hand your ticket to a scooper and enjoy! The ladies behind the counter were the sweetest and while the place was packed they moved quickly.
They’ve also got chocolates and other desserts if gelato isn’t your thing… but you’d be crazy to go to Venchi and not order gelato! Sei pazzo!
