I ordered a coffee and something small to go in a paper cup in case I had to leave to meet a tour(which is where nearly all vatican tours begin. I took my drink and sat outside. I did not realize I couldn’t sit there… a waiter said I had to leave, I asked if I could just order something else so that I could sit, and he wouldn’t allow it. Extremely rude, especially for a sub par tourist trap.

Right outside of the Vatican exit after your done your tour … it’s directly outside across the street. We were starving after spending 3hrs in the Vatican museum and Sistine Chapel so we just went in the first place we found as it was also raining. Don’t go here unless you r in our same situation. It’s so pricey. Oh and don’t get the baguette it’s hard as a rock you can kill someone with it. Lol. The pasta was just OK nothing special and a coke costs 6 Euros($ 10 canadian) omg. Seriously pure tourist trap. Super expensive and food is mediocre.

What a rip off. 2 small cokes, one coffee and two orders of pancakes(three small pancakes)…€ 48. Do not eat there unless you want to get ripped off.

This place is a complete tourist trap ripoff. Food was marginal, probably ok if it cost half the price. Deceptive tactics and rude staff. Avoid this place at all costs!

Wow, the boss at this restaurant needs to talk to his employees about what respect means. We were about to go on a tour, I asked a waiter a question & was referred to a tour guide. She sent me to go grab my mom around the corner, where I had to make a phone call… & the waiter FOLLOWED me around the corner– GRABBEDMYARM while I was on the phone. I told him«I am not comfortable with you touching me, you need to ask permission before you touch someone else!» He said«oh my, I’m sorry but you need to come back» and I said«I was, I needed to make a phone call first and then you follow me and grab me?!» And he goes, «OK, shut up!» … I said, «Excuse me?! Shut up?! You can FUCK off!» To which he responded«are you crazy?» And then tried to talk to my brother with an attitude of, «ok let’s men talk» but my bro had my back and told him it was rude to say shut up and that he needed to walk away, which he refused to do so until ANOTHERBUSINESSOWNER intervened and told him to leave us alone immediately, and he finally left. You guys need to teach your employees 1) NOTTOGRABWOMENWITHOUTPERMISSIONINANYCIRCUMSTANCE, in America, us women defend ourselves, let’s just say he’s lucky he didn’t lose his hand for touching me never mind following me. 2) that«Shut up» is actually EXTREMELY rude, and in America, you could get beat for telling the wrong person to shut up. It’s extremely rude: don’t ever tell an American tourist, or really, any tourist, to shut up. Didn’t eat here. Never will after your waiter grabbed me and told me to shut up… Glad my family didn’t because on other sights you have 1 ½ stars from about 300 reviewers: you guys obviously arent a good restaurant. Bad management and STUPID employees. That waiter should consider himself lucky that we were in Italy and not where I’m from… Because I might be a small American girl, but I could’ve easily kicked this guys ass to next Tuesday– gladly. Learn a lesson, consider yourself lucky.

Two coffees and a bottle of Nestea came to 16 Euro. We chose not to come back for lunch at such prices.

We were in Rome and missed our early tour of the Vatican. We hung out in the café until our new reassigned tour and couldn’t have been more pleased the wait staff Simone and Alex were wonderful. After our tour we came back for wine and a snack and still fab

This place saved the day 2 times today. Both before and after our Vatican Museum Tour. Delightful servers, good coffees, good lunch and a great spritz after the forced march in Museum. Simone is a gem.

This has the most wonderful cappuccinos! But the fruit bowl was amazing!!! Expensive but worth every cent, super nice staff!

Sure, it was 12Euro for 2(small) cappucino’s, but it wasn’t crowded, the décor was bright, and the energy was lively. Very good service. They speak English and are funny. And the cappucino’s were amazing.

Even if you are extremely tired and hungry, AVOID this place at all costs. This place is a complete ripoff. The sandwich was disgusting and I couldn’t even eat more than a few bites of the«pizza». This place is not serving food for normal people. For the sake of the tourists and Italy’s food reputation, the government should ban this place from operating at its prime location near the Vatican. This is not how you want tourists to remember the city.

Great little café directly in front of the Vatican museum exit. Needed a pick me up after all day in the museum. Had just that… and the staff was super friendly. I suggest the cannoli or gelato. Can’t go wrong.

Avoid this place it is a total tourist trap. Right opposite the entrance to the Vatican this place is ideally located to rip tourists off. On a recent trip to Rome we went in here thinking it might be a bit expensive given its location. When we asked the prices as the menu does not have them I grabbed my wife and daughter and walked out straight away. They wanted € 12 for a Kids gelato in a cup, € 6 for a coffee and € 10 for a very small strawberry tart. After talking to other people outside they all complained the food was extremely expensive and not that great. Glad we walked out. There’s heaps of other cafes and food choices only a couple of streets back that are a ¼ the price of this place.

If I could leave a half star I would have. Stay away from this place. An absolute rip off. 2 orange juices, coffee, and a donut 40 euro. Joke

Grabbed a couple of cappuccinos and croissants here prior to hitting the Vatican Museum. Despite the negative reviews we found the service to be friendly and the prices average for the area. Everything was less than 5 Euro and we were greeted nicely by the staff on entering and leaving.

Right across the street from the entrance of the Vatican museum, it’s definitely a tourist trap. Not only that, they have the worst customer service. We were standing inside the café trying to order food but they employees wouldn’t look at us and kept talking amongst themselves. Another employee was bussing the tables and saw us having trouble to get people’s attention, but just walked around us. We left after 10min of them ignoring us. Don’t give them any of your business. The reviews are low for a reason.

Come here if you’re looking for convenience. Prices are very high but location is good. They don’t hand you menus so you can’t see how much the food costs. You order by pointing at what you want to one person. The orders have huge portion sizes, probably in an attempt to justify the high prices. Drinks and desserts cost 30% more than what they would cost at another restaurant. But then again, it is very close to the Vatican Museum so it is convenient in that aspect. They try to force you to pay in cash. I wasn’t carrying enough cash and they almost didn’t accept my card. The employees argued amongst themselves but finally one person told them to accept my card. There was no sign saying that they only accept cash, either. Be aware of that.

One: Good coffee. Two: Super overpriced and in Rome that’s saying a lot. Three: Service that I can only describe as «Rude as FUCK.» Directly across from the Vatican Museum. It’s amazing they haven’t been struck by a bolt of lightning before now.

Like others have stated, it’s very expensive. Probably this is due to the fact that it’s across the street from the entrance to the Vatican museum. They don’t tell you that it’s cash only. If you sit they charge the customary service charge. On my check they rang in two things differently than what I ordered. They got an additional € 2 out of me. Thankfully the coffee was good and the waiter was too.
