After visiting the Vatican, a friend and I were looking for some lunch. Obviously we avoided the empty touristy restaurants, and we somehow ended up at this small place, located on Corso Vittorio Emanuele II. I remember getting a variety of pizza slices, prepared«al taglio» style. This style is where the pizza is priced by weight and how many slices you get. I remember getting probably 4 pieces, and I was all set for lunch. What makes the pizza unique was that it was thin and rectangular and not too crusty. The quality was pretty good, really tasty and simple pizza. This was probably one of the cheapest places I went to get some simple pizza. I think I paid less than € 7 for several slices of pizza enough to fill my stomach for a while. Interior is fairly small, probably only large enough to cater to 15 people. It is more of a take away place. I think most of the people come here are Italian, because I did not hear much English being spoken. The people who work here could speak pretty good simple English. Drink prices are maybe a little high, a small bottle of soda may cost € 2. This place is at a fairly good location, you can reach the Castel Sant’Angelo and the Tiber River probably within 10 minutes and it’s also a good walking distance to the Vatican. Overall, I had some tasty and unique pizza at a reasonable price. It’s a good place to get some quick slices of pizza to eat, and to continue on an enjoyable day in one of the best cities in Europe.
