Fun, slightly douchey place for aperitivo. Nice modern clean and sleek and cozy ambiance. AMAZING food for aperitivo — this can be your dinner. I loved the green beans in pomodoro sauce. So good.

I thought the brunch was really good, food was mostly lunch type of food and not really brunch(missed better quality coffee, hot chocolate, butter, better quality bread). But the food that was served was great, lasagna was specially amazing so as the eggplants. Service was very polite and good quality. It’s € 16.50 p.p. and I would go back.

I give the food out of desperation to find a decent priced breakfast three stars, but the service in this place gets one star so overall it’s three stars. During a visit to Rome I stopped at Rec23 for brunch. I found it after doing a search for breakfast online and came across an article from CNN Travel which ranked this place top 10 brunches in Rome. I basically just went because the buffet breakfast at the hotel was 40 Euros and this place was only 20 and the 10 bucks for a cab ride not to mention I just wanted to get away. When we arrived the place looked kind of hip, seems like a nice place to listen to music(which is there thing on Thursday nights). We arrived at 2 for brunch which was 12:30 — 3:00. Some of the food was sort of picked over when we arrived like the carcass from what must have been a delish whole turkey which was smashed to smithereens leaving just skin and bones behind and a few pieces of meat. The buffet was varied yet I seen no bacon or sausage instead they had pancakes, fries, eggs, cannelloni, egg plant Parmesan, cordon bleu, and a bunch of deserts I hear others rant and rave over the brownies they were ok. They really try to cater to an American crowd and I welcomed the music popular songs from the 70s and the Beatles and the orange juice… everywhere else just served blood orange juice which was red. Back to the service it was horrible it was as if we weren’t there. No one came over to see what we wanted for drinks so we just asked about it while up getting food and they said help yourself to a drink on the bar(OJ, pineapple juice, and bad coffee… actually the only time I had bad coffee while there guess they really were trying to make it an American experience. The person at the bar asked what we were drinking and later someone dropped it off at our table, they never even picked up the used plates so we sat used plates on another table. It wasn’t a horrific experience but I probably may never go back unless it’s just of drinks on a Thursday, I prefer to just have a custom breakfast at the hotel.
