This little restaurant next to the tower of Pisa is great. Their bread and meat are fresh and tasty. Though if you don’t have strong teeth, the bread can be a little bit hard

Wow! This was great! It was about 10 euro for two sandwiches. Location of the map is not quite right. Go to the small square near where the map shows, not to the side street to the left. We ordered the«raw» sausage(I know, I think it is translation) and it was fantastic!

The best sandwich in Europe. Outside is a quaint park. A few minutes from the leaning tower here in Pisa, this place was a perfect stop. Back to the sandwich… perfect Italian hard crust roll. Just the right amount of salami and pecorino cheese. Plus I added some pesto and roasted peppers. Did I mention perfect? If you are able to come to Pisa, please strive for perfection. You won’t be disappointed. Oh…you’re still reading? The sandwich was only € 5. Cheap! Still reading… I love sandwiches and know a good one when I find it. Trust me. Yummy. That’s all for now!

perfect place for a cheap and filling meal. We didn’t realize how large the sandwiches were and decided to get three sandwiches for two people. I don’t know what we were thinking but we only finished a sandwich and a half! Buy some sandwiches and then have a picnic by the leaning tower! The porchetta was okay. I felt like we got drier parts of the meat making it more difficult to eat. The raw sausage was out of this world. I know that may sound kinda gross like can we really eat that? will i get sick? but I had a bite of my friend’s sandwich and I didn’t really want to give it back. It was so delicious and not something I’ve seen in other places. The bread was kind of too hard for my taste. It was the kind where after a few bite you feel like the top of your gums start hurting. But that may just be personal preference.

The place is small, but that is part of the charm. This place rocks. Both in terms of concept, service and food. Choose between a well-curated list of different Italian sandwiches(panini) filled with different meats and vegetables or go with one of their plates. The plates consists of different Italian charcuteries and cheeses. It really is heaven.

Perfect place to pick up a cheap, quick and delicious sandwich on the way to the Torre di Pisa. You can either stop in and eat here(though it may be a bit crowded) or you can grab a sandwich to go and sit on the grass by the tower and entertain yourself while people are posing for pics. Got the porchetta and the spicy salami which were both solid picks. The spicy salami was on par with the famed All’antico Vinaio and their porchetta was something out of this world. Not too fatty, but not dry either. The bread was crisp and fresh. They are very tourist friendly and are in a prime location if you’re just stopping by Pisa for the day and coming by train. Be warned, you may end up going back for seconds. And thirds.

This is by far the best sandwich shop I ever eaten at. This is pork and everything else pork! I ordered a sample platter. My favorite was the raw cured pork something I never thought of having. It was delicious! It was the best bite of pork I ever had. The owners are very welcoming, they have 1 english menu. They do not take credit card.

This is a great sandwich shop. I would love to have something like this in my neighborhood. The sandwich was everything that a sandwich should be: good bread, delicious meats and cheese, lots of options, beer and wine available and all for a great price.

Stopped in for lunch today based on some of the previous reviews. I was very happy I did. Ordered the Lardo sandwich with the Figs(see picture added). It was perfect. The sandwich was perfect size and delicious. Secondly the staff were very friendly and helpful. Would totally recommend going here.

Certainly a little spot of sunshine in Pisa and really close to the tower. so convenient. We got there around lunch time and the place had several young people(who follow Tripadvisor and Unilocal). The location is amazing as it is in the complex where the leaning tower of Pisa is. just not right in front. Usually the restaurants that are right in front of the tourist attraction are not that great as they get enough foot traffic without worrying about the taste or menu. This place is a about 3 – 4 mins walk towards the back. They don’t have a restaurant license so they serve sandwiches like a shop and the drinks are self-serve. They clearly make fresh bread and slice fresh meat right in front of you. Being a vegetarian reviewing this place is a little unfair as an authentic Italian deli like this is all about the cold cuts and cured meats, none of which I tried. We ordered two vegetarian sandwiches. Service was pretty quick as its just assembly time for them. They serve in wax paper on a cutting board, looked so cool. The bread was clearly fresh ciabatta but too hard for me. I noticed that bread across Europe was pretty hard, but it was definitely easier to digest than softer bread. Perhaps that is the more traditional way to make bread. I am used to the ultra-soft over-processed bread made in United States(which is definitely bad for you). The veggies were fresh and they had a drizzle of olive oil inside the sandwich which tasted great. My main complaint is that there was no sauce or spread. With a hard bread and no sauce, the only way I could gulp it down was with some coke. The prices were amazing, really low(€ 3 – 4 pp) which is un-heard of in Europe especially in the popular tourist destinations in high season. If you like authentic Italian freshly sliced meats and ciabatta bread — don’t miss this place while you are at the Tower!

This place is always packed and for good reason. I went in here based on a friend’s recommendation. It’s a very quaint shop, there are only a few seating areas on the inside. Perfect spot to take grab a quick lunch, walk over to the piazza and enjoy the view. FYI, there is a store next door where you can purchase snacks and drinks, alcohol too(12 oz bottle of water for 50 euros). There are two menus, one in Italian and the other in English(located inside and in front of the shop). There are a few menus on the outside, plenty of choices if you have someone picky in the group, so you can decide then and there without causing any traffic inside. Now onto the food, although I’m not fond of cured meats I was very pleased with their selection. The sandwiches/paninis are made with fresh ingredients. They prepare everything right in front of you. They don’t toast the bread here, fyi and not particularly fond of the bread because it is heavy. The sandwiches are huge and one is enough to feed two people. The sandwiches and paninis are around 5 euros. Pro tip: Because I was eating every few hours, being that I wanted to enjoy as much food as possible on vacation I would cut the sandwich in half and transfer the rest of the meat/cheese on the half I was about to consume. The meat to bread ratio was 40⁄60 and I’m not about to go over my carb intake on one meal.

Great atmosphere and very authentic sandwiches in the heart of Pisa! We enjoyed all four of our sandwiches which are in very fresh bread and great tasting meat. This is so much better than getting food at the other knock off shops located by the leaning tower.

The sandwiches were good and also a good size(not like some of the ones in bars which are tiny and overpriced). The place really is TINY, but since we were there on a rainy day, we had no choice but to squeeze in there(with our husky, so not fun). However, this is really a good lunch for a veryyy good price and just a block away from the Leaning tower.

Found this amazing sandwich shop wandering the streets on a rainy day in Pisa(actually my wife found it on trip advisor but saying we found it wandering the streets sounds a lot cooler lol). So far the best sandwich I’ve had during my time in Italy. It was a simple sandwich made with a few slices of salami, cheese, olive oil and pesto spread. The bread is baked fresh daily and it was one of the best sandwiches I’ve had in my life. The place is tiny and more like a deli than a restaurant(4 – 5 tables and maybe 10 – 12 people max) but if you are looking for a amazing sandwich this is the spot. If you are lucky enough to grab a table, the sandwich is served on a cutting board and there is self serve wine bottles all along the walls(i.e. you serve yourself a glass and pay later). You can also grab a sandwich to go and have a picnic at the leaning tower. They also have a English menu which is a big plus.

LOVEIT!!! Best breakfast ever! Tiny place, but you don t have to sit there to eat, just ask for a sandwich/panini to go. They also got self service on the wine: p This is a must when staying in Pisa.
