Great pizza very close to Napoli Centrale so it’s possible to get lunch before making your connection. We went here twice — on the way down to Amalfi and on the way back. Got the Maiz on the first trip which was different than we were used to but delicious — pizza with cream sauce, corn and prosciutto. Went for the Diavola(basically a Margherita pizza with spicy salami) on our second visit. Also great. Be warned that the staff is *extremely* rude and will express great contempt if you have trouble communicating. If you can tolerate this kind of obnoxious treatment it’s worth a visit. Otherwise I’m sure there are more welcoming options in Napoli. Pizza gets 5 stars, service gets 0, so ultimately 3 stars.

The way my wife and I experienced it, we didn’t feel Naples was too friendly to travelers. No matter. We are a resourceful couple. It took probably about 15 minutes to find someone that worked at the restaurant willing to help us. With my awesomely terrible Italian language skills I ordered a pizza Margherita for take away. I continued to impress with my lack of knowledge of the Italian language when I presented the pizzaiolo’s in the back of the restaurant with my take-away ticket. They were mildly entertained, took my ticket, and handed us a hot, beautiful, and freshly made Margherita pizza to-go less than ten minutes later. I suppose the experience was sort of fun… enjoying a genuine and authentic Neapolitan pizza in the city where the world’s most favorite food was invented was a treat in and of itself! The pizza Margherita here was one of the best we had during our travels in the area. So simple yet so good. Ingredients matter.
