Chegamos no restaurante à noite. Fomos servidos rapidamente o restaurante estava vazio.

This was our first pizza experience in Naples. The Hubster had a diavolo pizza(pretty much a basic pepperoni type pizza) and I had a pizza with dry cured beef and arugula. I didn’t read the menu properly and was surprised to get a pizza with no sauce. And I’m allergic to dairy, so no cheese either. I found the crust way too chewy and dense, as well. The Hubster — with his saucy, cheesy pizza — was in heaven. He destroyed the thing in minutes. Service was very friendly, though I’m very glad we picked up some Italian before our trip. I can see English speakers struggling a bit here.

This place is excellent. The buffalo mozzarella with cherry tomatoes was very good and the margherita pizza was the best pizza I’ve had. The dough had the perfect amount of chew and crispness. The service was excellent. Worth a try.

All I have to say is I ate pizza everyday 2x/day for the 3 days I was in Napoli & their margherita pizza has got to be one of the best things I’ve ever put in my mouth. Perfect char, perfect crisp, delicate, cheesy & tomato-y, I love how they put the evoo on after they take the pizza out of the oven. It’s just utter perfection. Their pizza is what dreams are made of. This place looks super Americanized compared to every other restaurant on this strip(close to Napoli Centrale Train Station)…we stumbled upon it on our last day in Napoli coming back from Pompeii and I was quite skeptical about it’s authenticity, but WOW I was so so pleasantly surprised. Oh and they serve a bunch of other foods too… but c’mon you’re in Napoli. Eat the pizza.

We came here for our last dinner before(sadly) leaving Italy. It was Sunday and after 8pm so almost every place in town was closed, but we lucked out in finding Fratelli la Bufala open. Service was pretty attentive(especially considering there was a Napoli vs. Roma game on). We got an appetizer that was basically slices of eggplant wrapped around buffalo ricotta cheese with a bit of marinara sauce. Delicious and unique. The Margherita pizza was probably tied with da Gaetano for my favorite in Naples(of the 3 I tried). The main difference between the two was the crust. At Fratelli la Bufala the crust was a bit thicker and cooked longer so that it had a crispier quality and had more char on it. My companion had a pappardelle pasta with buffalo meat sauce. He seemed to enjoy it. Overall, I’d say this is a good place to get your grub on near the Castel Nuovo and Piazza Municipio. My only gripe is that the beer seemed kind of expensive — which is not that unusual in restaurants in Italy from what we found.

We just got wine and dessert but because the desserts were so amazing, I wish we’d gone back for food! It had a few TVs and cool décor. We got the house red wine and though it tasted great, it smelled a little of farts.
