An Italian friend took me to this local restaurant when I was visiting Milan. It’s off the tourist trail and not the kind of place you’d easily find without a bit of local knowledge. The restaurant is really homely, and very unassuming and not pretentious. Welcoming, helpful staff and menu’s in English make it easy to take your pick of the menu. It’s mostly meat based, there are plenty of vegetarian options too,(perhaps 20% of the pasta dishes are veggie) but no fish/seafood options, perhaps 1 fish dish on the menu. The Pasta all home-made and seemingly unique. If you’re English then forget your pre-conceptions of what Fusilli should be like. This is very different! The Negroni pasta special was also an interesting alternative to spaghetti or spaghettoni. Definitely try the Mozzarella wrapped around cream for a 2nd course — deliciously unhealthy! Reasonable priced house wine help round off a lovely meal in this friendly establishment.
