DIRTY, DISGUSTING. DONOTGOHERE. This couple who owns this place give Florencea bad name. I came here with my husband one evening and ordered for myself a gelato. After I had paid and before I had eaten my ice cream my husband had been standing and watching and saw the male worker start to use a small tasting spoon and eat out of one of the gelato containers. He didn’t discard his spoon and use a new one each time but continued to eat with his used spoon. We told them what we saw and asked for a refund and gave them back the gelato. He took my gelato threw it into the sink and said, «No money.», emphatically. The female worker tried to give me a new scoop and I said, «No, I don’t want your dirty gelato.» We told them we weren’t going to leave without our money and told them we would call the police to settle it. My husband left to find the police while I stood there and waited. After ten minutes they figured out they weren’t going to be able to rip us off and finally gave us back the $ 2.50. We also experienced their sudden lack of English when we asked for our money back. Almost forgot… The male tried to rip me off again when they decided to refund me by shorting me $.50, but I made sure I got my full refund. Sleazy business.

Predatory pricing to the point of being a scam. Could not see the prices until you go around to the back to the till and find out it is several times a reasonable price. Staff are belligerent about it. I regret not handing the product back and waking away.

Got a waffle. It was stale and burned. Sad face… nice people. I’m sure if it was freshly made it would be better. Still burned but at least not stale. No reason to premake waffles and leave em out in the cold winter air. You’re just standing there all day anyway. And it’s not like there’s a line of people waiting. Know what I’m sayin?

Very Bad! The girl serving gelato totally ripped us off and charged us 14 Euro for two cones of gelato. Can you imagine paying that at Baskin Robbins? The cones are not priced when you order. It’s when you go to the register that you see the prices. They do this deliberately to rip off tourists. I later told my tour guide and she said it’s illegal. My husband paid with a 50 and the girl gave him a ton of change and paused, to see if he would wait for bills, which he did. She was trying to short us after just charging us nearly $ 20US for two ice cream cones. I was so ticked off, I went back in and told the girl she had ripped us off and suddenly her English wasn’t so good and she said her prices are by the register, which they are, hidden until you have already ordered. There are tons of gelato places in Florence. Always ask the prices before you order. Do not waste your time or money here. It was the worst experience of our trip. Shame on that girl.

We actually gave the food back. The cannoli tasted like molded cardboard and the gelato was expired and smelled rotten. There are so many good gelato places in the city, please do not go here. It’s expensive and is just food they bought the month before at the discount frozen food supermarket. They wouldn’t even give us a refund when we told them it was rotten.
