Trattoria BBQ

I had my eye on another restaurant down the block, but somehow we ended up here instead. This spot away from the tourist center had quite a local lunch crowd, so we decided to give it a shot anyway after realizing our mistake.
After some confusion ordering and a bit of a wait, our food started to arrive. The bread was nothing special; the salad with red wine dressing was nice. I finished off an entire big bowl of it!
For my main dish, I chose the pasta bolognese (meat sauce). I’m usually a fan of this preparation style, but it fell short here. There was WAY too much meat and not enough sauce. The meat drowned out any other flavor from the pasta or sauce. It just wasn’t a well-​rounded plate at all.
I wouldn’t say Trattoria BBQ is a poor option, but I would say you should check out the competition before eating here. This was one of my least favorite meals on my recent trip to Italy.
