Okay, my boyfriend and I spent 5 nights in florence and passed by this restaurant every night on our way back to our Air BnB. One night, we were just too tired to venture far out for dinner and decided to stop here. I’ll be honest… I was super hesitant and skeptical of this place. It has a very confused identity and the menu is an expansive puzzle. But, let me tell you… this meal was probably the best meal we had in Florence — better than our one allocated fancy dinner we had at La Giostra! And, best of all, this place is inexpensive! Or, at least, it’s typical pricing for the pizza/pasta you get in the area. My boyfriend wanted a simple yet delicious Italian pizza and hadn’t found one that satisfied… yet, until he ordered the Margarita Pizza, which was just a thing of beauty. You could tell it was made with love. Straight to the point, this pizza is what you think of when you think classic pizza in Italy. Order it and probably any other pizza on the menu! I, on the other hand, was on the search for good, homemade pasta. I couldn’t decide what to get and on a whim I ordered the fettucini ai funghi porcini, not expecting much. When I took my first bite, I looked at my boyfriend and we locked eyes in utter joy. We had found our perfect pizza/pasta! Dramatic, yes. But, this was just a creamy, earthy swirl of magic. I will try to recreate this dish at home and probably fail, but I can’t forget about how this pasta tasted. So, Unilocal,I wanted to leave this review since it has an average rating and tell potential patrons that Firenze Barbecue is the Italian dream you have been searching for!

Very average food. They have a a very big menu, makes me wonder if they even make their food fresh. We ordered mango milkshake, veg lasagne and veg pizza. All were very mediocre. Infact the mango milkshake made me sick.

Great meal on my first night in Florence. I was actually looking for a different restaurant but the extensive menu and friendly staff caught my attention. My chicken was cooked perfectly and reasonably priced. The house wine was very good. Service was great. Their wifi was free and fast.
