We shared the pasta for 2. It was amazing. Sometimes the best dishes are the basic ones. Highly recommend this restaurant.

Humble and charming. The staff is very warm and accommodating. Some of the best food we have had in Italy so far! We are going back again this evening! Highly recommended.

The restaurant was recommended by our hotel, so we went ahead and made a reservation. In short, we were not disappointed. It was a short 10 minute walk from our hotel(which was located by the train station). After arriving, we were quickly seated and handed menus. I was scrolling through and showing some of the photos on Unilocal of the food to my family and one of the waiters came up behind me and started telling me what each one was, found that little amusing! I ended up ordering their noodles with meat sauce, it was just as delicious as you see in the photos. I also ordered the beef tips as a second meal, but be aware that it is cooked raw so let them know ahead how you want it cooked. The waiters and staff were all friendly and didn’t really have any complaints. Good place for food if you’re looking around.

A great experience for us. The caprese for starter was to die for — especially the mozzarella buffala. My gnocchi con pomodoro were also awesome as was my girlfriend’s beef; but I still preferred my choice. The house wine was too sour(dry) for my taste but some may like it this way. Overall highly recommended! The price was around € 50 for both of us.

Great find in Florence! We discovered this place next door to our hotel and we’re happy to find that it was an indoor restaurant. It was still hot outside so sitting inside was a priority. The meal was excellent, there was a special with noodles, peas, chicken, and truffles and wow was it delicious! We also had the toasted bread as an appetizer which was quite a surprise because it wasn’t only toasted bread there was bruschetta, liver, and mushrooms on different pieces… Again, amazing. Service was great as well, the waiter was kind, knowledgable and spoke great English. I definitely recommend coming to eat here, the prices are fantastic as well.

My wife and I visited this place for lunch. It was wonderful. Great pasta at a reasonable price. Would highly recommend it. The only downfall was the bread was kinda bland.

After eating at I’Brincello, I had a singular emotion — be a better husband to my wife; better son to my mother; better man. Period. Try the pasta with wild boar!

Cannot, cannot, cannot rate this place high enough. While in Florence my sister and I decided to check this place out due to their great Unilocal reviews and the fact that they were very close to the hostel we had been staying in. We went for dinner one night, and ended up coming back TWO more times before we were off to Venice. We were greeted very warmly by Zakaria the hostess/waiter and seated immediately. We tried several different dishes and each was superb. Throughout our first meal there we were greeted by everyone on staff, and everyone went out of their way to make sure we had a wonderful experience. The food, the service, the ambiance was all 5STAR. Yeah, it can get a little loud but Italian’s are loud by nature and it’s all part of the fun.

Phenomenal warm and down to earth classic Italian restaurant. Read about it in Rick Steves Italy guidebook, wasn’t disappointed in the least bit. Took my parents there knowing they are picky eaters and they loved the food and atmosphere as much as we do. A+

We had dinner here as it was close to our hotel in Florence. The food was decent with reasonable price. However, the service was horrible. We ordered the Tagliatelle with meat sauce for the kids and steak for myself. My daughter asked if she could have it with spaghetti noodle instead of tagliatelle, but the guy told us «No». After 20 min the guy came to our table to tell us that they were out of tagliatelle noodle and they will give us the thicker noodle instead. We did not have a choice at that time. 10 min later we saw them carry out 3 big plates of tagliatelle noodle for themselves to eat. As for the steak, it’s fine — nothing exceptional. We would definitely not go back to this place.

Good value, good service good food! Had their special antipasto which was delicious and generous! Gorgonzola sauce with gnocchi — delicious, home made pasta with their ragu was good. House wine both red and white was very good!

Had meat sauce pasta. Very good and fair portion. Homemade everything even the bread. Has us sit literally inches away from another couple when there was clearly more room in the back, probably to make it appear more full in the front. Cover charge is 1.50 a person, but it’s cheaper than a tip!

We made reservations for a Thursday night in February. We arrived 15 minutes early but the place was empty and they seated us right away. We were very happy with our primi of pici with meat and mushroom ragú and pappardelle al cinghale, delicious meat sauce and nicely cooked pasta. We didn’t realize that our secondi did not come with any vegetables or starch on the side, and the portion was kinda small to begin with, so we split my grilled eggplant parmesan with my husband’s grilled chicken. They both had a nice grilled flavor to them, but not much else going on with them – the eggplant especially too much cheese and not enough tomato sauce to elevate it a bit. We finished off a very nice tiramisu. It was a very simple, unassuming tiramisu, but delicious nonetheless. Now service… our server was very short – not necessarily in a no-good, awful way but it did affect our dinner. He took our order, gave us our food and wine, and gave us our check and that was the extent of our interaction. He spent most of our tome there talking to some other guy behind the deli counter, which was a little distracting. He also failed to tell us about the specials as well as not tell us that sides are separate. The chef came in and out once or twice(in fact, it looked like his wife came in at one point and told him to come outside for a minute). Come here for simple, non-fussy food. Do not come here expecting to become friends with the employees. Our dinner at Osteria I’Brincello was more of a 3 ½ star experience, but unfortunately I had to round down my rating. If our secondi or if service was even a tad better that would have made a big difference in our experience.

The food here was great. I was with a party of 6 so I don’t remember what everyone else ordered, but I got a prosciutto plate. They sliced the prosciutto fresh when I ordered it. Everyone in my party was happy with their meal. We had a wonderful server, as well. The dining room is vibrantly decorated and it looks family owned. We really enjoyed our experience here.

Came here last night based on Unilocal reviews praising it. Perhaps the food is amazing, but the ambience(lack thereof — it was seriously brighter in there than an operating room) and exceptionally rude service made us get up and leave within minutes of walking in. If you don’t care about atmosphere, then maybe you will want to test your luck with the menu. Loud, stiflingly hot, obnoxious and bring your sunglasses to deal with the brightest lights in the world. When we left, the sleazy younger waiter screamed mockingly after us «arrevederci! Ciao!» the entire time we walked from our table in the very back of the restaurant to the door. Even if it’s the best food in Florence, nothing is worth hostile staff and a setting more appropriate for a mall food court.

Had to wait, but service was really fast. Short wait time. This is a loud, fun Italian Osteria. The main server /manager /owner? is a fun gregarious and entertaining person. There was a table with small children next to ours and the waiter really catered to them. It was clear they were having a good time. No AC in the restaurant so consider that if deciding to attend. We ordered two pastas and a chicken dish, plus water and a bottle of house Chianti for about 20 euros a person including service charge. Not bad when considering the wine and water were $ 20 euros by themselves.

The place to go for great affordable food and cheap bottles of wine all within blocks of the Douma. The beef dishes are top shelf.

With all the amazing food we’ve had during our trip maybe I was a little spoiled but I thought the food here was ok and nothing special(compared to the high trip advisor and Unilocal ratings). The interior of the restaurant is very bright, with plenty of lamps hanging from the ceiling and orange colored walls. Comparing to the other places that we eat where the interior was dimly lit and ambiance gave it a more romantic feel, this place was more of a family diner feel. I had the homemade pici pasta with meat sauce and the wife had the homemade pappadelle pasta with the wild boar sauce. They were both good but the wild boar pasta was the better of the two(again nothing special but it wasn’t bad either). The pasta is served on a metal plate/flying pan and the portions are very big. We could have easily ordered some antipasto and split the pasta and still left the place feeling full. Side note — the guy next to me ordered the florence streak(which is what they are supposedly known for and you order it by the gram) and it didn’t look that great. He actually asked for some streak sauce halfway through which I thought was funny but the waiter did not. And one more thing. The restaurant isn’t that small but they cram you so close to each other. I’ve ate at other restaurants half it’s size where I had more space. On the plus, they had cheap wines by the glass and the price was very reasonable. Overall it’s a safe place if you want a good meal but there are plenty of other places with better food.

Food was good but nothing spectacular. I am gluten free so naturally they didn’t have a ton of options I got a balsamic chicken dish which was a good but nothing special and my hubby got pici a thick noodle with mushroom and meat sauce and he thought it had great flavor he just prefers a lighter sauces in general. It was 14 euro for a liter of wine and note you don’t have to tip here and there is a seat fee on your bill. In total it came to 42 euro for our meal, I’d check it out but it wasn’t out of this world
