Did not eat here — only came for drinks. Those drinks were wonderful and as we watched the super hot Lenny Kravitz lookalike Brazilian bartender(but a taller, more muscular version) make more drinks for others, wow! they were very creative. Said hot bartender also made a drink that was his personal favorite for me and my two friends to try(a negroni) — passed it around! If you’re a germaphobe, you got none :) Also believe they have the happy hour special as I recall some plates being out when we arrived. Damn, why was I paying for dinner every night? I would definitely seek this place out my next time in Florence. It was a bit farther from where my hotel was, and that’s the only reason I didn’t hit it up more!

Absolutely spectacular bar with high quality specialty drinks. We are from Los Angeles and expect high quality cocktails. Alessandro far exceeded what we have seen at the best bars on the sunset strip! By far a go to place!

The aperitivo buffet was fantastic. Unfortunately, however, the service terribly slow and it was so dark that you could hardly see the people across from you at the table.

Our favorite place in Florence! Excellent coffee for only 1euro, and the food is amazing too. We had the chicken leg special and the lasagna. Friendly staff too.

Great location, lots going on near by. Ended up here becuase of the Unilocal reviews while touring Italy. The waiter said he understood and spoke English so we had high hopes. We were coming from another aperitivo and landed at Oibo in search of dinner. It was still aperitivo when we went but it was not good. The apertivo selection for food was the same as the other place so we weren’t that thrilled. The waiter also brought a platter of complimentary food because it was aperitivo but again, nothing impressive and new. I ordered the pizza with four different toppings on each quarter — mushroom, artichoke, olives, and ham. I asked if I could switch out the artichoke and olives or just not have them put on the pizza. Waiter said ok he will ask the chef but if the chef does not agree, what would my back up option be. I told him my back up option. The food comes out… waiter serves my two friends first and then hands me my pizza. and it has artichoke, olives, ham, and mushrooms. He says«sorry, the chef didn’t feel like taking them off». Uhm… then what about my back up option? So basically, the pizza is pre-made. which is why the chef didn’t want to pick off the artichoke and olives for me. It was gross. DiGiorno is way better. Service sucked. Waiter made a huge fuss about splitting checks but I understand Italians do not like to split checks. Bad experience. wouldn’t ever go here if I went to Florence again.

Great place for aperitivo hour. Drinks run about 7 – 8 euros, but the aperitivo buffet is quite good. They had a seafood dish, fruit, raw veggies, and some other cold salads with pasta or cous cous. Drinks came quickly, and there’s a seating area upstairs when it gets full downstairs. It has a nice loungey vibe to it. Not the cheapest place for aperitivo, but seems similarly priced to other places in the same area.

Yum! The food here was really good. There’s restaurant seating in the back which is where we were led to. A board showed the various specials of the day — I ordered the penne pasta with pork and pumpkin. It was really good! My boyfriend ordered a pizza — nothing to write home about but it wasn’t bad. Reasonable prices, fast service, and good food.

The family and I were walking around and browsing through the leather purses and jackets at stores nearby when I got hungry. We took a chance at Oibo at lunch time since it was just right there. There were a few tables and chairs and it looked like it could be a club/lounge at night so we could only hope they had something edible. We got seated in the back which had more tables and chairs. I ordered the bistecca alla Fiorentina that comes with fried potatoes. I was not asked how I wanted it cooked. The steak was huge so I ended up cutting it in half to give to my sister. It was bloodier than my usual medium-rare so I had it re-fired without a problem. I think they only used salt to season the meat but it was incredibly good and flavorful. Less is more. We were really surprised by how good the food was. What was even more surprising was the price. It’s quite inexpensive. It was a happy chance incident.

Went here for a girls’ night out one of our last evenings in Florence. Nice list of specialty cocktails… we each had a different one(or two) and they were all delicious. I decided to switch to a glass of wine and the bartender overheard me debating what to get so she took the initiative to pour me tastes of a few different wines, which was really nice of her. We went earlier in the afternoon so it wasn’t busy and there was plenty of room at the bar. They put out bar snacks that everyone seemed to enjoy, although I don’t do the whole communal snack bowl/no utensils thing. Too paranoid about bacteria after biology classes. Then they put out TONS of complimentary appetizers. I mean TONS. A nice mix of meat, vegetables, pastas… and they were all pretty good. Especially considering they were the awesome price of free. When we would walk by at night, it seemed to be pretty crowded and more on the clubby-side. I think I just invented the word clubby. Anyway, it was a nice place for late afternoon drinks and snacks and I will probably most certainly stop in for a drink again soon!

Great people working there! They made me feel right at home even with my lack of Italian speaking ability. I didn’t have any food, but they had a decent selection. The set up is kind of odd though. There is a bar and some seating in the main part, and more seating being a corridor. The bathrooms are different… The women’s bathroom didn’t have any soap though. Cool place!

While exploring Florence, I walked by this place and couldn’t help but notice their generous spread of food for their aperitivo. Yup, they put all that deliciousness right in the window so people could see it. So I went there the second night I was in town, and it did not disappoint. The food was great(see the picture) and plentiful, and the ambiance was really cool. Loungy, but not too upscale where people would have their nose in the air. I only had a Heineken, but it looked like this place excelled at specialty cocktails. Definitely hit this place up if you’re in time for aperitivo.
