Mister Pizza

Everything started off quite lovely here — good food, calm atmosphere & a great view. My partner and I were enjoying our pizza, when suddenly he bit into something that didn’t feel right — GLASS!!! He cracked a small chard into two pieces and managed to spit it out before ingesting another bite. Once alerted, the restaurant waitress quietly apologized and comped his meal. Not our dinner, his pizza. They made no big fuss about the situation, which made me wonder — is this is a regular thing? Having flown half way around the world to enjoy the magic of Italy, I can’t even begin to express the anger and frustration I felt when this happened. Swallowing glass could have seriously hurt my partner or derailed us into takin a trip to the local hospital. Beware of what may be in your pizza here! We are very forgiving and understanding people — but this was unacceptable and something that needed to be shared with anyone checking Unilocal before ordering dinner at Mister Pizza. :(

We were in Florence for the day and were visiting the Cattedrale di Santa Maria del Fiore. We really wanted pizza and this place was close by. I ordered the Margherita pizza and it was amazing, as was the antipasta. Molto bene!
