We have quite literally just stepped out from our second time eating at la fate. I am compelled to write a review right away! The food-sublime, the staff — beautifully helpful the atmosphere perfect! First visit I chose«Virgo» delicious spaghetti with fennel and date or fig I’m not sure but it was tasty. This time I chose Taurus gorgeous chapatti wrap with veg, curry humous filling served along side an exquisite nut, kale, bread concoction. My boyfriend chose libra which was also amazing. When we return to florence we will most definitely be returning to la fate! We are both vegan and have been spoilt for choice in florence, la fate is definitely one if not the favourite. Very easy to book via Unilocal with a super quick response.

I went here this past sunday after strolling down borgo allegri. I read about the place online and though it was empty. we decided to give it a try. romantic décor greets you upon entering the door. the staff was extremely welcoming and nice. This restaurant is vegan and vegetarian and the menu is based on your astrological sign. while the main plates are quite expensive(16 euros) the menu is small but varied with sunday offering a variation on menu items. Each sign had a special plate just for them and the staff is clearly passionate about this. many interesting menu items including vegetable flans and carpaccio with a twist. Unfortunately they don’t have their menu online or else I would let you know our exact menu. They also offer a special starter gratis from the kitchen. A gorgeous nutty bread, slightly sweet and fried and topped with broccoli. Our vegetable flan snd trio of beans were absolutely tasty. We both ordered pasta dishes, him pici with carciofi and mine a linguine with cabbage and dried bread crumbs. We shared a bottle of vernaccia which was very nice. Wine is also based on your astrological sign, a red and white choice for each. A bit expensive, think 26 euros a bottle. We also shared a simple cheesecake which I loved. With two coffees, our meal came out to 60 euros in two. Certainly a price we couldn’t afford every day, but ut was a great meal!!! Plus the concept is fun.
