This lovely café is a modern style café with an array of wonderful food and drinks! Stopped by for breakfast and lunch.

Happened upon this place on the day we arrived in Florence. So glad we walked in and ordered a light snack. I highly recommend the platter with 4 types of bruschetta. I don’t particularly care for tomatoes but the best thing on that platter was the bruschetta with the balsamic vinegar! I could eat that all day!!! Amazing flavor. I highly recommend trying this place out.

Fancy café on Palazzo Pitti with less than mediocre quality. The cappuccino was all milk, cold and no espresso whatsoever. Not a fan of their latte art and the pastry wasn’t tasty. There’s lounge in the back & a bar upfront. But if you need a break from rain outside it has a nice ambiance.

Had lunch here entirely by happenstance, being a new tourist in Florence. There are many restaurants of all types near the Pitti Palace and I was just hungry. I was the first customer in the restaurant area for lunch, which was great timing, since by the time I left, there was a growing line for a table, and it was a Monday! Their main focus appeared to be light sandwiches and such in the front, and the menu for a sit down lunch was relatively short, only 3 – 4 choices for each course. I tried the spaghetti in a turnip pesto, which was excellent, and then a(smoked) shaved salmon on black rice with shaved fresh carrots on the side, which was even tastier. Both were presented very nicely, and the portions were a reasonable size, filling without being too much. As good as the food was, the balsamico vinegar served with olive oil for the bread was fantastic. It turned out that it’s aged 18 years by the owners privately and is therefore sweet with age. I ended up buying two small bottles(not cheap) to take back as gifts. Although I didn’t order any dessert, the waitress wanted to prove the quality of the balsamico and brought me a small taste of vanilla gelato with the vinegar drizzled on it. Incredibly good! It’s actually even better as an ice cream topping than for dipping bread! Overall, a great experience, in a great location for tourists. They’ve only been open since April, so let’s hope they can maintain the quality to stay around until my next visit.

Another successful meal in Italy. Just picked a place that looked good on our way to Pitti Palace. Cappuccino was gives 5 stars. Half the group had Panino Farcito(ham and cheese panini). All cleared their plates. One salami and cheese plate. Same price as the panino. It’s served with a basket of bread and could possibly be shared by two(although my daughter ate alone). I had the black rice and vegetables. Only issue was the prosciutto — wasn’t expecting that. No worries — picked it out and the kids ate it. Last plate was a smoked sword fish. Sliced very thin and a bit salty, but rated very good. Enjoy!
