Christmas Day lunch. Great service. The reviews from the other people just aren’t happy people. And more than likely unable to please. The home made pasta was out of this world. The pizza balls and cheese is a must order. Sit outside. Great view of the square. Good wine.

Wasn’t expecting much from this place. Located in a busy Piazza and probably over priced but the reality was surprisingly good. Tasty pizzas and the salad was good. Asked the waiter to hurry up cause we had to catch train to Rome. He was very friendly and brought up everything super fast. THANKYOU. Would recommend.

If I could rate this place less than a one star I would. Shameful service and food quality. I ordered lasagna. The outside was warm enough to pass for cooked but the center was completely cold. My wife ordered a steak and asked for it medium. Parts of my wife’s steak was so rare that I could have sworn I heard a faint moo during our meal. They also placed tables so close together that it was impossible for a new customer to enter there table without asking another customer to get up. I actually had one of the employees push through myself and another customers chair without excusing himself or asking us to get up. They get away with this type of quality because they are right next to the bus and train station where new tourist traffic is constantly pouring in. They do not deserve your hard earned money. STAYAWAY! By the way, I came here on a whim before looking at the Unilocal rating.

Located across from the Firenze SMN(Santa Maria Nella) train station was open while all other restaurants were still closed at 11:00 am. My husband ordered the salami pizza which was serve fairly quickly. He was hungry so he ordered another pizza. He asked the waiter to pick his favorite pizza and came out with a pizza with tomato sauce, mozzarella and fresh chucks of beefy red tomatoes and greens. I ordered the seafood spaghetti. It was just what I was looking for — a very simple light sauce with a variety of seafood(clams, muscles, a little octopus). Most places we have ordered from have a very salty seafood favor, not this place it was perfect and tasted very fresh. We even saw people deliver fresh ingredients to the restaurant! Lastly the wine was great! I got a red Sangiovese and Merlot blend for 9 Euro a glass. And we sat outside facing the beautiful Santa Nella Church !

We stopped by on a hot day. The bathroom was filthy and floor was wet. No ac or fan. The bottled water we got and paid for were clearly filled with tap water and not sealed when they were brought to the table. The green salad was wilted. The pizzas were decent but I never had a bad one on the country yet. No fans or air conditioning, you could do much better.

Just no. Food awful. Juice not fresh. Toilet a 1 out of 5. The perfect stereotype of good location vs good food.

It’s 3 stars bec it’s not an overly exceptional place. However, if you’re on the go, want decent food(pizza is delicious), a nice glass of wine, and be on your way, this is it. I recommend for this reason. Want authentic amazing Italian food? Look elsewhere. Want a good fill me up to your next tourist stop? Go to Il Grillo, it’s a no brainier.

Sure, it’s for tourists, but it also has great food, a great location & great service. The menu had enough variety & most of the classics you expect to see. I’d have no problem recommending this place to my fellow travelers.

A tourist place where you pay and wait too much… We went here on our last day before going back to home. We wanted to have breakfast and take our time. It is close to the main station. The staff was not friendly, the lady was grumpy and very service minded. I took scrambled eggs and my partner an omelette. It was really not good. For the price you pay it was really bad. I don’t get how difficult it is to make a few eggs. Even the coffee was not good. The service was slow and when you wanted to ask something I had to impression that we were bothering them. Because it’s close to the station its very attractive to go here. But walk a block around and I’m sure you will find something much better.
