Oh man, one of my favorite meals in Florence! My friend and I had done some research online to find the best Florentine steak and this place came up on multiple lists(both in English and Italian), so we decided to check it out. As soon as we walked in, we knew this would be an excellent place. We went on a weekday for lunch and it was filled with locals(mostly older Italian men haha). It’s nothing fancy, but the feel of the place was warm and cozy. We were seated quickly and given a menu, but we already knew what we wanted: the Florentine steak with a side of spinach and wine. Before cooking the steak, the waiter came out and brought the raw steak for us to check – it looked amazing on the bone! Before we knew it, our cooked steak came out and we began to eat. Man, it was perfectly cooked and rested, and beautifully seasoned. As we got to the bone, I tried to use my fork and knife to cut the meat off, but some locals at the table next to us and then the waiter just told us to use our hands and bite the meat off the bone! Haha! Totally unpretentious, but awesome food – my kind of place for sure. The entire meal was 50 euros, but well worth it!

Great find. Great service, friendly and on top of their game. We didn’t like the house wine, they took it back and recommended a great bottle. Veal steak was the best, juicy and flavorsome beyond belief. Everything was great. Décor is low key and that adds to the small town Italian charm. I Would easily go back.

After two weeks in Rome, Cinque Terre and Florence, this place ranks at the top. We got the Florentine Steak and Truffle pasta. Amazing. Steaks are huge, seasoned well ad cooked perfectly medium rare. Attached to a bone(looks like a t bone) so flavors are even richer. Truffle pasta is super creamy with very generous shavings of truffle. Just the best. Whole meal was about 50 euros. Worth it.

Best meal between Rome, Chianti and Florence. Steak florentine is excellent. Pasta(we had spaghetti and pomodoro) and caprese salad were delicious and the desserts(cream filling and pine nut cake, aka«grandmas cake» and mascarpone cream) were so good we had to get two. For ten euro get a liter of the house wine and you won’t be disappointed. We didn’t order the pasta with Tartufo(truffles) but we saw it at other tables and it looked amazing! We were kicking ourselves for not trying it.

Un vrai petit restaurant toscan, sans prétention mais extrêmement délicieux et bon marché! Un must pour les petits budgets, ou ceux à la recherché d’authenticité!
