This little café is a short distance from the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore. You actually can practically see if from where you sit inside the restaurant. I believe we had just left the Uffizi Gallery and one thing that drew us to stop and eat here is that we were starving from walking the streets of Florence all day. The second reason is that the food looked very fresh from where we were standing on the street so we decided to stop. One thing we noticed in Italy is that it’s sort of an advertisement of what cafes and restaurants have to offer, so like window shopping but for food. I think my eyes were bigger than my stomach because I thought I could handle two pieces of pizza but the pizza wasn’t the typical thinner crust I had experienced in other parts of Italy. This pizza was super thick. Almost like a french bread pizza but softer and more delicious. I actually had to wrap the second piece up which worked out well for munching on the go. They also had a reasonable selection of non-alco and alco beverages. It was amazing that everything was so cheap especially in Euros. It really was a great way to relax and rest our legs before heading out to the Accademia Gallery. The also have gelato, other beverages, coffees, candy, and other things. So it’s definitely worth a stop if your stomach is practically eating itself. I also noticed as we were heading out that they also had Wi-Fi because the password was on the wall.
