Really delightful meal on this statue-laden square, our waitress was friendly and comical which made it a fun evening! I had a steak with pecorino and rocket, lovely, and we started with the traditional cocolli(dough balls with cheese and prosciutto). I love cocolli! So good. Great food, great service.

Best homemade pasta I’ve ever eaten! They have a wood fired pizza grill as well and my kids loved their pizza. Staff was friendly and very accommodating of our gluten-free allergy.

While walking around the city in search of another restaurant found on Unilocal we pushed past the starving limit and ran into Circus. We sat outside on the nice patio area with a great view of the square. The waiter was super friendly and spoke impeccable English which were both pluses. I ordered a margarita pizza and my fiancé ordered a pizza with spicy sausage. Both were quite good and the bottle of wine we washed it all down with was even better. I feel like this is a more«tourist» type of place so if you are looking for a more authentic Florence meal this may not be your place but all in all it was a nice lunch and we can’t complain about a thing.

Recommended to me by a passerby, I enjoyed everything about my lunchtime meal. Food was delicious — pizza made from scratch(which is should be — it’s Italy!) and a wonderful café latte to round things out. I look forward to going back.

If you’re looking for wood oven pizza, this is the only place in the square that has it. One was plenty to split for lunch. They also bake their own bread which is absolutely amazing. Most of the other places seem to be tourist traps so be ware.

Location is unbeatable, across the piazza from the Palazzo Vechhio and with a direct view of the Fountain of Neptune. The service is prompt and a bit brisk, as is usual in tourist areas of Italy. We enjoyed the risotto with prawns and zucchini flowers, and the freshly made pasta with tomatoes, olives and ricotta salata arrives looking a little dry but as the warm tomatoes relax and blend with the cheese it creates the perfect sauce in flavor, thickness and quantity. You could do a lot worse in this highly visited and beautiful square than to enjoy a very good meal with stellar atmosphere.

Fantastic friendly service and middle of the road prices. we had a relaxing lunch at Circus in Florence and were especially surprised by the super friendly service by Nicoletta a delightful server who recommended some incredible food — the wood fired pizza and seafood misto were particularly tasty — along with two bottles of wine… yes we were happy, and full.

Only had the pizza 4 formaggi and I added sausage. Decent pizza but nothing amazing, a little pricey. But your paying for the ambiance. It’s right in the plaza.

We didn’t eat here, but it was a fun place to have a glass of wine while people watching in the Piazza Della Signoria. We earned it after climbing up to the top of the Palazzo Vecchio tower! Normally it would just be three stars(touristy prices) but heat lamps and BLANKETS for outdoor seating, and super friendly servers tip it over the edge. Also, they brought us little aperitivo plates without us asking — crisps and nuts I think at first, but then little mini pizzas! Winner! Worth a stop if you’re nearby, for a drink and a chance to rest your feet and stare at a beautiful square.

This restaurant was a recommendation from our hotel down the street. The food was good though if you are ordering the steak Fiorentina like I did ask how pink is their medium because this piece of steak is soooooo thick that it takes a long time in the grill. I asked for my steak medium and I got medium edges, in the center the meat wasn’t cooked but since I really have no problem with the bloody mess it created I ate it. I believe my husband had some sort of salad and a duck confite which I believe he liked. That night we went back to the restaurant to try their pizza I believe I got a «Capricciosa» or something like that which was good, my husband got something more traditional that wasn’t the Margherita pizza which he enjoyed. Aside from providing very good service and food there’s the bonus of the view of the plaza. This is a great place to people watch. At this plaza you can also find one of the 2 copies of the David near the Palazo Vecchio.

Featuring huge 1KG steak and a sophisticated menu with a concession or two for those who cannot go beyond burgers. The steak tartar was wonderful. Of the two medium rare Florentine steaks we ordered one arrived perfectly cooked and amazingly tender while the other needed to be sent back twice. The staff was very accommodating in attempting to resolve the problem of the second steak. A obviously new restaurant where they are still working out the kinks, I expect it will receive higher ratings in the near future.
