We stayed in an apartment very nearby. Alessio quickly came to recognize us(and our son) and went out of his way to make us feel welcome every time we arrived. We typically got the aperitivi della casa, which Alessio crafted from his imagination each night. Both the alcoholic and the non-alcoholic creations were delicious. The appetizers are consistently good, and Alessio keeps serving right up until closing. The morning espresso and cappuccini were also great, as was the cioccolata calda. It was so great to be treated like regulars, right along with the regulars. It’s just off the normal tourist streets, which makes it so much better — and also a bit cheaper! The sala is large and welcoming, with comfortable seating and soft lighting. The folks make us feel like they are waiting especially for us. What a wonderful find!

This is such a super cute little café on Via Vigna Nuova, right by the apartment I rented in Firenze. It was on the same block, so I made several little pit stops here in the morning and on my way back for the evening. Great little place to stop and get a cappuccino and take it to go or drink there. They also have a great variety of pastries and simple sandwiches. The staff is friendly and speaks English(even though I used Italian). There is also free wifi. There are tables inside, but you should buy something if you’re planning to stay. While I didn’t see anything enforced at this particular café, I know that there are establishments that charge you for table service.

Stopped in for quick bite. Average at best. Panini’s cold inside. Small pour for wine(3 oz)). Would not come back.
