We have been trying nearly all the restaurants near our apartment rental as an injury limits my ability to go much farther afield without pain. Xx, open only 2 days, seemed like a risk, and we had low expectations. These proved ill-founded. A calabrese pizza was spicey and flavorful, with a crisp thin crust, the we have had in and around Santa Croce square. A salad that combined greens with cheese and pear dressed with yogurt and olive oil was stand-up fresh. For desert I had tiramisu. It was served in a bowl like a pudding with flakes of chocolate and crust. It was not overly sweet, and quite delicious. Service was attentive with a youthful, warm staff. The space is quite large and comfortable. Pricing was quite reasonable, and the total with 3 glasses of wine came to 36E. We will be back. As for the name, that seems an unfortunate choice.
