Moxy Hotel

I love the hotel. I stayed there only one night but the lobby and the room are beautiful… I wish it was in the city then I could stay there for a few days when I’m next time in Milan.

A great place for a lay-​over at Malpensa Airport. Super helpful and friendly staff and clean rooms at a very reasonable price. The café/​bar area was good to have since there’s not much else around here.
If you’re not staying here before or after a flight, the location stinks, but it was perfect for our needs.

Ok, I’m lazy and rarely post a review, but our experience at Moxy is so surprisingly positive that even I had to get off my duff and write. This hotel has style and class and excellent service. We just flew into Milan for one night before flying home to the US tomorrow. We had been staying in a 5 star hotel in Paris this past week. I was braced for the shock of staying in a low cost hotel after this past week. While this is not Le Royal Monceau, it is an absolute delight! I can not ever remember being so happily surprised by a low cost hotel. It’s fun, hip, stylish and clean but the best part is the staff who genuinely seem to love their jobs and enjoy saying «Yes!» to your (almost) every request. Bravo!

I enjoyed! Very chic and sexy hotel. It has such a young feel and set the tone for Milan.
All of the workers were extremely nice and helpful. In the middle of the night my charger broke and they charged it downstairs which saved my life! Lol
Very affordable. & buses right outside of the hotel in terminal 2 will take you into the central city of Milan for $ 8

We were pleasantly surprised with our stay here! The staff was helpful and friendly. Our room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good, though not included in the room price. Best of all, you can’t beat the convenience of walking across the parking lot to get to the airport!

Great hotel for an airport hotel. Small but clean rooms. Excellent guest services. You really couldn’t hear the plane noise from the rooms, much to our surprise. Completely beyond my expectations.
The only thing stopping me from giving the 5 star review was the lack of nearby parking. They did not have a lot and thus you had to pay to park in the airport long term lot. It wasn’t a huge deal, but it’s a bit of walk with the bags.

Wow, what an awesome hotel right across from terminal 2! We stayed here the night before an early morning flight out of terminal 1. The airport has a shuttle to terminal 1, don’t waste your money on a taxi. The staff here were very friendly and accommodating from the second we arrived until our departure. The lobby is beautifully decorated and welcoming. There’s several areas to relax — a bar with food, tables to work, a place to play games, watch tv, etc. Free WiFi throughout The hotel. The rooms were a bit small but still very nice. If you’re there with a few people, you’d rather hang downstairs than in your room anyways so it’s not a big deal. I almost wish we stayed longer just so we could hang out there more! Great stay and very reasonably priced.

This hotel far exceeded my expectations. It is modern and comfortable, with many uncommon amenities. The lobby alone is very open with several spaces for games or lounging. They have couches and tables, board games and and a foosball table. The beds are comfortable, the entertainment center is modern (HDMI and USB ports available and an interactive 42″ LG HDTV), and the bathroom is very nice.
Our only disappointment was that there are no good food options nearby. They have some food in the refrigerated case in the lobby, but it’s overpriced. The other options are walking back to the airport and eating in the terminal, or taking the 10 € shuttle to another hotel with a pizzeria/​osteria.

Pretty interesting. They serve food that you would find sitting in a gas station but do not actually have a restaurant you can order from. They do have breakfast buffets though.

No computers, they do have wifi though. Nice tv’s in the rooms too with international channels (including English) if you do not speak the local tongue.

Just wrote this because I was expecting the traditional Mariott hotel experience seeing as they own Moxy but I was unfortunately let down because of the few disparities. Honestly, I think this place would be better suited to be a nightclub than a hotel with the vast number of couches and modern/​trendy vibes the hotel’s design gives off.
Positives
Close to the airport and very affordable in contrast to some of the other hotels around.

I highly recommend the Moxy hotel for any Milan one night layovers. It conveniently located across the street from Arrivals (you literally see the hotel across the street) and being at the airport, you have easy access to the train station which takes you to city center for a night out.
I came here last week for a Saturday to Sunday stay and had a great experience. The location is very convenient and a 2 minute walk from the arrivals terminal, you simply just walk across the parking lot and cross the street. I saw some previous reviews complaining about the «unsafe» street crossing but its completely safe. The street primarily has only airport vehicles driving around and it is fairly infrequent while we were there and there is a cross walk. The only hiccup is that most departures take place out of Terminal 1 which you have to take the airport shuttle but if you plan accordingly, its not an issue as they some around fairly frequently during the day. On the other hand, MXP also has a Sheraton hotel but it is way more expensive and you would still need to take the airport shuttle when you arrive since its by terminal 1. So if you plan on staying at the airport, there is no way of getting out of the airport shuttle.
We arrived earlier than standard check-​in time and they allowed us to go to our rooms early. The girls at the front desk were polite and helpful. The rooms were simple and modern, imagine a cleaner/​nicer W hotel room. The only caveat to this hotel is that there is no room service (at least i didn’t find the menus) or telephones in the room which i thought was a little odd but for the price per night, its completely understandable.
I didn’t utilize the lobby food bar so I can’t review about that but I imagine its fine for drinks and a snack, but i wouldn’t plan on eating dinner there or anything like that.

I am do embarrassed that this hotel is affiliated with the Marriott! The worst customer service I have ever had in my life. We thought it would be a good idea to stay my the airport this time the night before our flight back to the U.S. checked in around 1 am because we were coming from Paris. Early in the morning someone began banging a hammer on the floor. After not being able to sleep I went downstairs and was told they were doing construction on the room under ours. When I said they had been banging since early the lady at the front argued that it was around 9 or 9:30 and that wasn’t early. I told her we were trying to sleep and she said they had to fix the room under so they could sell it after going back and forth with her telling me it wasn’t early. Someone who said they were the manager came out and said if they didn’t do it they couldn’t sell the other room. I didn’t understand that it was my problem. Eventually I got frustrated checked out and went and took a nap in the airport and washed upon the airport bathroom.

Perfect hotel, conveniently located right outside of Terminal 2 at Malpensa airport. You can take the airport shuttle that stops right across the street to Terminal 1 and from their you can take the train to city center. The staff was very friendly, the rooms are very cute, clean, high tech, and modern. Even though the hotel is at the hotel we didn’t even hear an airplane while we were in our room. The biggest flaw of this hotel is the food options (especially dinner). The night before our flight out, the only hot meal option they had was a Moraccan chicken that tasted horrible and they didn’t even have a loaf of bread to go with it. Otherwise, I would definitely stay at this hotel again.

Moxy bills itself as convenient, located ON the airport grounds. Technically, this may be true but to get to the primary terminal guests have to drag baggage across busy road, without benefit of traffic signals and board packed ill equipped ‘school bus” to get to main terminal for International departures. Hotel has this concept of «serve yourself» which equates to nothing moore than gather up your own bad food, heat it in a microwave and pay confiscatory amounts ($ 20.00 for 2 coffees and 1 expresso) for a very bad culinary experience. Rooms are tiny and the only reasons I gave it 2 stars instead of one was the bed was comfortable and sound barrier windows did a good job. There are much better options at MXP.

The Moxy is a con-​temporally styled hotel at Terminal 2 of Milan Malpensa Airport. The terminal mainly serves Easyjet, but a shuttle bus runs every seven minutes to Terminal 1.
The hotel is based on a no frills concept. Check in is very casual at the bar. The bar offers some bistro like snacks.
The room was very clean and had a very comfortable bed and a nice shower area.
The staff was very nice and friendly. The food slightly overpriced.
Great alternative if you look for a economic alternative to stay at the airport in Malpensa

A conveniently located three stare hotel right outside the MXP Milan-​Malpensa Airport (Terminal 2). A complimentary airport shuttle bus took us from Terminal One to Terminal Two, and a quick street crossing later, we arrived at the Moxy.
We booked two small rooms at this hotel for its convenience for our early flight to Paris the next morning via Terminal 2’s EasyJet. Two small rooms were cheaper than one large room.
After a long flight from NYC, we were happy to be checked in a few hours early prior to our check-​in time. Each room is snug but comfy with enough amenities to get by. Everything was provided, from towels to shampoo and body wash, as is expected. The TV was on some Italian news channel. The bed was comfortable, especially after 24 hours without good sleep.
Downstairs in the lobby, the receptionists were kind to teach us the area and show us how to get to different parts of Milan. There isn’t much to eat in the area without using public transportation, so we were limited to Terminal and train station food options. There is food and coffee available in the lobby but most of it is self-​serve microwaveable (or cold) food.
Cost, convenience and quality is what makes this hotel a easy choice for a single night stay in Milan by the airport.

I stayed at the Moxy so that I would not need to worry about getting to the airport on time in the morning.
First off, the hotel is cool with a modern fun touch. The staff that I encountered were all super helpful and friendly. The gent checking me in even said, «feel free to jump on the bed when you get to your room» like the girl on the room key is pictured.
My room was on the first floor ~ so it was super easy to get to. The downside is that it literally overlooks the DHL parking area. That’s ok I suppose after all, it is an airport hotel.
The upsides were the USB ports around the room. The fact that the room is vibrant and quirky with the smoking card and the artwork is a plus to the fact that there’s no phone [there is an SOS button to push though] in the event you want to order room service or need something!
On the food situation… The killer for this hotel is the fact that there is no restaurant. What they have reminds me of a hospital cafeteria. It’s an absolute bummer if you’re hungry and it’s quite misleading in their «facility offers» section they’ve listed on

Setting aside my irritation to having no place to grab dinner within the hotel, I ordered from their «cool like» cafeteria. What a joke. You literally have to microwave your food. The selection is limited. Again, think cafeteria or a vending machine sandwich.
Normally, I stay at the Sheraton in Terminal 1 which is quiet brilliant. However, this time I thought I’d try out the much less expensive hotel because it seemed interesting and modern. It is indeed.
The best things about this hotel that I’ve encountered is the Rituals products and the free Wifi. Yet, even with that — the lack of a proper restaurant or room service will keep me from coming back.
However, if that doesn’t bother you — then I’d recommend this place. It’s an excellent price, nice modern room, great bath products, free wifi and overall fun as long as you’re not hungry in any way shape or form.

I stayed at the Moxy on Thursday, the night before an early flight out of Malpensa airport in Milan.
This hotel is 200 meters from the departure doors of Terminal 2 building.
Unfortunately, the signage is non-​existent. You cannot see where the hotel is if you look for any neon sign or any banners (nothing). I had to ask airport staff standing outside T2 where it is.
To get to the hotel, I had to wheel my luggage along snowy and watery cement sidewalks. Not the easiest experience.
The hotel lobby looks pretty cool. It is a cross between your living room at home, a bar, and a 7-​Eleven store with shelves of food. Curious look (!) you may be thinking?
The ground floor was staffed by 3 young ladies who were energetic, enthusiastic and good English-​speakers. I was very relieved that I could get to my room quickly and unload the luggage since I had traveling since 7 am (by train & bus).
The room itself is also modern with clean lines and loaded with technology enhancements. You can plug in your smartphone to an outlet and see the display on the flat screen television!
But there is no phone. You cannot call the front desk if you have a problem; which I did because the TV was not working nor the WiFi. I found out later that the snowy conditions knocked out the Communications lines for both… gee that’s bad.
I went downstairs to find food and ended up with a tasty chicken coconut curry frozen food box (9.60 euros) which is microwaveable. Added to that a bag of cheese flavored corn chips (1.80 euros) and a cup of herbal tea (1.80 euros).
The young lady was very helpful in instructing me how to heat it up. Once done, I picked up my tray and settled into a sofa seat.
There are cool books and decorative items in the lobby. I feel as if I am in a staged house or somewhere where an Italian interior designer had been told to set the scene for a «hip» theme.
According to the young lady (originally from Lecco-​area), the hotel had just been open since September 2014 and was the first of it’s kind under the Marriott hotel group. The place is managed by a Swiss organization and the food comes from all over Europe.
I have to say that the staff are nice but they could use more training in American customer service. They are trying to do many things at one time and I could see that it was difficult for them to prioritize talking to an Italian couple who were ordering a beer at the bar, people walking into the hotel to check in, and a man who had a computer connection question. Is this too much to load onto young staff?
I had to rush out the next morning to make my flight to Germany — no time for breakfast (aside from the fact that they were low on food from all the stranded Easyjet passengers staying extra nights).
I found the next day that I had dropped a bracelet in the room and did not know where it went to until I checked my email the next day. The Moxy housekeeping staff found it in my room (great!) but now want to charge me 62 euros to send it using DHL back to me in San Francisco ;(
The Hilton in London has much better customer service. When I lost the belt from my trench coat many years back, they found it and mailed it time without any fuss or cost to me.
Still working on trying to retrieve the missing bracelet.
