Tiramisu was delicious! Yogurt cup was yummy! Definitely stop in and give it a taste!

Even though their pricing is a little funky(make sure to clearly state that you will be STANDING at the counter to enjoy your espresso!), Majer is an affordable, quality option for coffee. A «standing» latte is 1 euro 50 — if you plan on sitting down, double the price. This Majer location was a 5 minute walk from my hotel. If you’re staying near the Piazzale Roma I would highly recommend grabbing an espresso or a snack there.

If you sit outside, They’ll charged 2.5 for cappuccino which is 1.5. If you order 4 items, you should pay 4 euro more. We said that we’ll take out, but they didn’t listen.

Scam artists. It says prosecco is 2.50 on a big sign outside but they charge you 3.50 if you sit outside. Bread is stale too. Stay away!!!

Loved the tiramisu. Cannoli was good. The addition of the orange peel in the cannoli was an interesting combination. The pineapple cupcake was also good — my husband loved it.

If you’re staying in the Caravaggio province in Venice, I would recommend this place for a great breakfast! I can’t speak for the desserts because I didn’t try them, but their heartier foods and coffee are tasty and cheap compared to the sky-high prices you’ll find in the touristy areas. I had their quiche and pizza, but loved the pizza more. They serve you a generously thick slice(but the crust isn’t too doughy at all!) so it’s super filling too! FYI: There is a definite price difference between sitting vs. standing at this café! We didn’t realize this the first time until we got the check(They asked us whether we wanted to sit or stand but didn’t mention the price difference. the up charge is only stated in the menus they have on the tables, but by then you’ve already been seated. Sneaky in my opinion), so the next morning we opted to stand and eat instead. Their food and drink menu is pretty extensive. They have desserts, pastries, gelato, pizza, pasta, salads, and even sushi; coffee, tea, and wine as well. Pretty impressive so there’s definitely something for everyone!

Majer gets 5 stars for: service, taste, friendliness, variety, and value. Their cappuccino was € 1.40, most(about 75%) of the desserts were € 1.40 each. I tried the fruit tart, macaroons, cheesecake, and kajuple chocolate cake… All were amazeballs!!! The server was super nice serving us minutes before they were closing. Even though it was almost time to close, she made us cappuccinos and used a real cup when she could have used a «take away» cup to keep us moving. She was the best ever!!! Thank you!!! Try everything here to prove me wrong about my 5 star rating =). Your punishment for doing that will be 10kg of extra happiness… In your belly! Enjoy!!!

This was the first bakery we found in Venice and we loved it. But then we found more bakeries and they were even better. This one is small and they don’t do the baking here. We went twice and not all pastries are equal in deliciousness. The chocolate cake was just weird. I love their tarts’ crust though. But again, there’s others in walking distance(everything in venice is walking distance). But! If it’s late at night and you don’t want to seek out another place, go here. It’ll be pleasant.

Researched over and over before deciding to come to Majer. Not a whole lot of pastry selections, it’s a mix between patisserie(tarts and such), pizza and gelato. The place is small. Probably only enough for 4 people(standing). I got the rice tart and something else. Can’t put my finger on the name. There wasn’t enough room for me to eat there so I took it to go. By the time I got home –probably 3 hours after– the paper bag that contained said pastries were soaked through with grease. Still eager to try them regardless. Plated and pictures taken. Disappointment in both. Rice tart was like rice pudding tart with dried up rice. Tart crust had flavor but wasn’t fresh enough, a bit too soft/soggy. The rice needed to sit longer in the custard. The other thing was so flavorless I can’t even tell you what it tasted like. Texture’s ok the first two seconds chewing it then it gets too dry. I won’t return even if everyone says it’s the best bakery in Venice.

I loved this bright café — we found it after getting majorly lost in the streets of Venice. The reason I love this place is because it was the only café I’d found on the island(I’m sure there are others) that offered coffee and desserts at the«right» price. No overpriced 4 Euro cappucinos here! Good coffee and a good price. Lovely service(a wonderful lady delivered our coffee and desserts). AMAZING selection of bread and desserts.
