The food and the service were good, however the price we paid for lunch for two(water, wine, pasta and fish) — around EUR80 — was not worth it. Look out for recommendations of the waiter, you’re way better of picking sth from the menu.

We stumbled upon this unpretentious little place looking for an authentic experience and that is exactly what we found. The meal was better than at some of the top rated restaurants in Catania. We were greeted enthusiastically by the owner and escorted into the ill fitting patina of the inner courtyard, where he helped us with our pasta choices. The pasta alla norma and the carbonara were both excellent and the service was warm and attentive.
