Pint and a burger for a tenner?! You had me at pint. This is another gem in the Galway Brewery pubs chain — but with a more homely, local feel than their usual hipster vibe.
The Scholar’s Rest have a limited but delicious food menu, not to mention the massive amount of brews on tap. The hummus salad is great, burgers can’t be faulted and bar nibbles that definitely go down easy.
It’s never been overly busy on the many, many visited to the joint, and the staff are friendly and laid back; after last orders you have plenty of time to finish up before braving the wet Galway weather in search of the next place.
