Staff not as good as before, understanding an order etc !! Given a half filled(Tall) cup, a number of times, that’s a lot of room for milk

Starbucks really care about your diet. Carrot cake reduced it size at least twice over few last years. although, the price stayed the same

Its a fairly large starbucks and, although if it was later in the day I wouldn’t dream of using a chain, it abides by brand standard very well. Pleasant staff if a little short and the seating is well laid out with a nice use of a bookshelf to create a nook. Clientèle appear to be mainly students which creates a vibrant if a bit noisy, atmosphere. The vanilla chai I purchased was good quality if a little weaker than my usual. Overall a good meeting place thats easily accessible and prominent. Good. Not great.

Great product! Starbucks coffee is uniformly awesome in taste, texture and well prepared by staff. My downgrading of this branch to 3 stars is down to a single visit to the store going to college where an «absent minded» cashier served a women who walked in right ahead of myself and instad of offering an apology for the mistake of leaving me waiting in a hurry, I got a arrogant stare of «I could NOTCARELESS» from her! I left the store in a foul mood and even later for college the I originally thought I would be! On the plus side, the Barista making the coffee was polite and attentive as I have come to expect from Starbucks!

Great if you’re a Starbucks fan, but with all the excellent independent coffee houses around Dublin I can’t see why anyone would come here for anything other than to have a frappuccino or use the internet. It’s always full and like every other Starbucks around the globe– hard to get a nice seat. The staff aren’t the friendliest either and this branch is full of college students so it’s quite noisy.

WHY would anyone go here?¿ Dublin today boasts such a vast number of independent coffee shops that I really don’t understand why people still go here and how the demand is high enough to warrant them opening shops all over the place(along with a supersize mcdonalds, temple bar also now boasts a starbucks). Craving an iced coffee on a sunny day, I ventured in and regretted it the moment I had. The coffee really is sub-par but beyond that, half the ‘treats’ in their display case were in plastic packets, the prices are the most ridiculous I’ve seen anywhere(3.25 for a flat white) and the atmosphere is just quite clinical and dead. I would not recommend any Starbucks. Not when you can get such amazing coffee elsewhere for half the price. No thank you.

Fast service. My hot chocolate tasted as though it had been made with boiled water. The first few sips were great, but progressively the drink tasted less and less yummy. Seating is only ok, but what can you except in such a busy place? I wouldn’t try to have a private or even serious conversation here — too much noise. But then again, it’s right in the center so one shouldn’t expect a café to be dead silent.

Well they are in a convenient location, and they do a great Americano and Flat White, neither of which is exactly bank-breaking. Some of the seats(if you can get them) are really comfortable, and the staff aren’t too fussed about making you leave the moment you’ve finished your drink. It also opens late, so is a nice alternative to a pub-type place. Apart from that however, the food isn’t great– the dominant taste in everything is just sugar. Endless sugar. I even regret their ‘skinny’ muffins as soon as I’ve tasted them. I also do not understand why the door has to be so heavy– it needs both hands and a hip and a shove to open properly, which is very difficult with a brim-filled, scalding coffee, and I would imagine impossible with a pram or wheelchair. Understandably, there is a high turnover of staff, and sadly expectedly, the venue attracts crowds of Spanish teenagers(at this time of the year). If you’re behind a crowd with a newbie at the till, forget it and go to Costa next door. Now that they ask for your name to write on the cup, I take great delight in picking a new name every time. Wish I was brave enough to call myself Godot, then just leave.

Loved this Starbucks! Came here a couple of times during our one week trip to Dublin. Free WiFi was the first and best perk and serving coffee in large mugs instead of paper cups like they do back home was also a plus. They do not have parking there except for taxis but I guess that’s normal for Dublin.

This store is nice but everyone is so rude(apart from the Chinese guy who is great) the french manager is so fricken rude and has NO passion for Starbucks what so ever, he really should be replaced with some who cares about the coffee.

Unfortunately this starbucks is the closest to where I live and so I’ve been there quite a few times, this will probably be the last. The place itself is not well laid out, but I also have a problem with the staff(not all of them!), who was so rude to me today I was fuming! I also don’t like the patrons! I attempted to go in yesterday to buy a thermos with coffee to take to the park. The buggy wouldn’t fit through the half-opened door. I tried to open it with one hand but as people who’ve been to this one know, that door is freakishly heavy. I was struggling for a bit while a crowd of people stared. I couldn’t manage both the heavy door and the heavy buggy and had to give up, not one person tried to help… and to think I went in again today just to be talked to in the rudest manner I’ve ever encountered in a shop!

It wasn’t too bad, got a cup of tea and a cup of coffe and a muffin here today. After 6pm on a Sunday, there weren’t many places open for a cuppa, so we popped in here… and so did a lot of other people! It was really busy. It seems like they could make better use of the space and add more seating, but sure… A lot of people sitting using laptops, so I take it the wifi was working :) It’s not somewhere I would rush to for a good atmosphere, or the personal touch from the counter staff, but when there’s nowhere else to go and it’s too cold/rainy for a take-away, it’s a grand port in a storm.

Internet is now free here! With so many doors and so few staff I bet you could just go in and sit down(if you find a seat) and never have to buy anything! As you can guess from that… not a lot of seating, few staff so service is kind of slow, not a lot of cups either(me and multiple people got take away cups when we wanted to say there). Clean though, better than some Starbucks I’ve been to.

Consider this: It’s on a prime location, we are talking about ‘the green’ here… and it’s Starbucks. So; not too bad a location for a not too bad coffee chain… At peak times it’s too small to get in the place even, and at odd times the place seems to be too big. I mean, when it’s full one doesn’t notice the shortcomings of the place. Not as many sofas as I’d recommend, and the small tables are a nuisance; always in the way, and, you guessed it, always occupied when you are dire need of one. The space left feels just like a desolate dark hole; not the atmosphere one can find in some other places. In other words, not the best Starbucks in Dublin, in my humble opinion.

A bit disappointed by this Starbucks, as it’s not very cosy — harsh light, very few armchairs, too many doors hence drafts and coming and going, not really the kind of place where you’d like to spend hours(and given the astronomical price of everything, you should want to). Also, as for all Starbucks, hardly any healthy options, not even fresh fruit — in fact just about everything they sell is full of sugar or caffeine… Food junkies central. Though one thing I really do like though is their bookshelf, saying«feel free to read a book, swap a book, donate a book, but please do not take a book». Not a large choice but I like the spirit, and it’s great of you’re alone and have time to spare. Also they’re open til 10 in the evenings, which is quite unusual(and handy!) for a coffee place.

What can I say? To quote Bernard Black — It was everything I expected and less! I have such low expectations when I go into Starbucks, I always remind myself not to order any sandwiches or their horrendous green tea. The only reason I found myself there last evening is because I know Starbucks open late, and I had to kill half an hour after all the shops had closed. I ordered an Earl Grey(their only passable tea) and a fairy cupcake, which set me back almost a fiver. And what a horrible cupcake it was — the butter icing tasted horribly fake and it had no discernible flavour apart from sugar. Just Bleuch! Can somebody please tell me of another coffee shop that opens a bit late in the evening? please?

Starbucks gets an awful bashing from the liberal types and I fell prey to that myself for a time but I finally got over myself and went into a Starbucks a few years ago. The one on Dawson Street to be exact. I immediately liked it. Good mix of people, not too full and the coffee was grand. I recently started going to Starbucks again just for some variety. So I stopped in at the College Green one. This Starbucks is in a handy location if you need your fix in a hurry. That is offset, however, by the fact that everyone else had the same bloody idea and the place is ridiculously packed during the rush hours. Forget getting a seat as everyone seems to camp there for more than two hours at a time. It’s also uncomfortably hot. That said though it has decent outdoor seating and the staff are efficient and friendly. I always say the staff can redeem the worst of places and that definitely applies here. The coffee is quite nice though I will say. A little sweet but worth a try.

I give 3 stars for this only and exclusively for the coffee. The coffee is really good. Doesn’t have a bad after taste. Actually any drink you get there would be really nice. And those caramel waffles. yummm… But! Sandwiches are soggy. Muffins are tasteless. And I don’t remember how their cakes taste anymore. Not to mention that it’s absolutely overpriced.

Can’t believe I am writing about Starbucks, but, well, lets face it, the one on Dame Street, well technically College Green, is very conveniently located, a great easy meeting point and it has a grand big outdoor area with lots of seats. Plus it is a great site to people watch all in the shadow of the historic Bank of Ireland building and Trinity College! With the WiFI service there too it is no surprise it is a great haunt of the big city centre student population, nursing their over priced coffee long into the night!
