Not only does this place make the best chips in Dublin it also makes the best ice cream in Dublin. Although there are usually only 2 – 3 flavours of ice cream, the ice cream is freshly made and always tastes great! The guy at the counter is also really friendly and takes great pride in his ice cream. Forget Gino’s and HB ice cream this is the true place for ice cream(and chip) fans!

Best chipper in Dublin! You will probably have to wait a little bit longer than most chippers for your food, as it is cooked fresh when you ask and it’s not sitting there like most places have it, soaked in grease. And not only are the chips the best, but Cristiano also makes his own home made gelato. He usually has around 2 flavours available at a time but it’s always gorgeous. They’re super friendly too! I won’t go to any other chipper in Dublin 7!

I live beside this place, when I say it’s horrible… I mean it. The burgers are rubbery, and I don’t know how other people like the chips, for me they taste like reheats as the place is never busy, the chipper hasn’t been updated(which reflects their profits) and is outdated by easily 20 years and tastes like it, but not in a good way like burdocks or beshoffs etc… I maintain the only reason this is still open because the family that run it own and live on the premises On a good note the staff are lovely and so is the ice cream

I usually go there for the Ice Cream. They have few flavours but is home made and is one of the nearest to an italian one I’ve been able to find in Dublin. The people are very nice and friendly too

Sorrento’s chipper is the nicest chipper about. I’ve yet to find a place that does nicer chips. That being said their fish and burgers and such are average but well worth going there for the absolutely amazing chips. Forget Burdocks or any other place like that; this place has the humble chip down to an art form. There is one more thing that really sets this place aside from your average chipper is that they make and sell the nicest gelato you can get outside of Italy. They make it fresh themselves with the best ingredients. They have a variety of flavours ranging from buffalo milk and cherry to honey bourbon and chocolate. If you are in the Stoneybatter area and looking for a nice cold treat pick up their gelato and you will not regret it: D

A great chipper. Doing well on the local rivalry with Olivos. Great chips, loads of crispy ones. The fish and burgers are perfect. A long wait for your food unfortunately.(Not so) fast food. Try there garlic cheese chips.

Little fact for all you ice cream fans! This place makes the greatest gelato in dublin! It’s freshly made on site by mister with love and some of his very own juice! Try the strawberry prosecco it’s amazeballs! Delish ma Gish!

This place is perfect for a late night stop for chips or nuggets or whatever you might want. The chips are always cooked perfectly and the serving size is very generous. The service here is fantastic and the people are very friendly.

Another go of the chips. Delish. Perfectly cooked, yum. It’s also service with a smile which is nice and ever-appreciated. I’m still wary of buying any meat based products in places like these, but if you’re after some gooood chips, these be the ones!

I live 30 feet from this place, but it’s just not worth going to. The kebabs aren’t cooked on a skewer — they’re frozen and cooked on a grill. The ‘chili’ sauce is just ketchup, and the ‘garlic’ sauce is the closest thing to American-style ranch dressing I’ve ever had in Ireland. The burger is bland, as well — kind of rubbery patty, thick, tasteless buns… just not good. I know the reviewer below loves the fries, but I haven’t had worse, I think. Super fat, not cooked enough, feels like eating mildly cooked potato wedges. Just not good, at all.

All I can say about this chipper is that the fries are just to die for. They are perfectly fat, made out of proper potatoes and cooked to perfection. In fact they are so delicious that I know someone who doesn’t even live in the neighbourhood, yet she walked here one Sunday ’cause she needed Sorrento’s chips to cure her hangover. And they did. Seriously, everyone needs to try them at least once and they’ll be going back forever. Great burgers etc too, but it’s the fries that stand out.
